Apparatus for resetting a stepable roller of a counting mechanism. The resetting apparatus includes a cam surface that faces the axis of rotation of the roller. The cam surface extends away from the axis and preferably terminates adjacent the circumference of the roller. A finger mounted on a resetting lever is adapted to engage the cam surface. Means are also provided for moving the finger from a position adjacent the axis of rotation toward the circumference of the roller so that the cam surface is engaged and the roller is thereby rotated to its starting position.
The invention relates to a resetting device for the cipher rolls of counters with transmission pinions which are disconnected during the return of the cipher rolls by resetting fingers acting upon cams of the cipher rolls. The axle shaft of the transfer pinions is supported in slotted holes stationary in relation to the cipher roll axes.
A presettable number device having number wheels interconnected by tens transfer gearing. Each number wheel has a centering cam frictionally connected thereto. A first key upon actuation turns all of the centering cams to one position, while simultaneously disengaging the transfer gearing from the wheels. A further key for each wheel is provided for indexing the respective wheels to a desired position. Each further key actuated a blocking mechanism which blocks the centering cams during adjustment of the respective number wheel. The first mentioned key, when released, releases the centering cams and returns the transfer gearing into operative engagement with number wheels and locks the number wheel keys against movement.
