A tool for closing and clearing the tip of a caulking tube includes a shaft, barbs on the shaft and a blade guide and hardened caulk cutting groove extending along the shaft.

A package, with a nozzle, a chamber, a cap which fits over the nozzle, and a pin attached to the interior of the cap which fits into the opening of the nozzle, for storing and dispensing a liquid, having an improved closure mechanism comprising at least one rectangular stopping member and at least one rectangular band in the interior of the cap and at least one guide flange on the nozzle. The package also has a plurality of guide ribs located around the nozzle to aid in the proper placement of the cap. The package is designed to be leak proof, nonclogging, able to dispense the liquid precisely, and can be easily opened even when the pin has bonded to the opening of the nozzle without breaking or shearing the pin.

A syringe assembly includes a plastic cap (20) that has an end wall (22) and a side wall (24). The end wall (22) preferably includes a plug portion (64) that extends away from an inner surface (62) of the end wall (22). The side wall (24) includes an inner surface (28) that has an engaging portion that sealingly engages a corresponding surface on a syringe. The engaging portion preferably includes two generally annular ribs (34) and (36). An interference fit is provided between the engaging portion and a corresponding surface on the syringe to maintain a sterile seal where the engaging portion contacts the syringe. The plug portion is received within an opening in the syringe and maintains a sterile seal at that point while simultaneously maintaining any medicament within the syringe.

An applicator for masking fluid comprising a fluid reservoir and a supply which feeds the fluid to a dispensing nib. The nib consists of a hollow tube through which fluid flows. The applicator incorporates an end cap having a prong which passes through the nib for the purpose of sealing and cleaning the nib.
