Abstract
A battery-carrying means for an electric or electronic timepiece wherein the elastic contact means projecting from the cover providing access to a battery-receiving means in said timepiece are positioned on the cover so as to be out of contact with the projected portion of the battery should said battery be inserted with said projected portion facing said cover. An insulating member or a space is provided between said cover and said projected portion to prevent contact therebetween should said battery be so inserted.

An electrical cell is secured in a trough shaped housing in a plate of a timepiece movement by a device located at the periphery of the housing. Said device comprises at least one member such as a washer with a cut-away edge held by means of a screw which moves it, from a rest position in which the cell is free, downwardly and inwardly into the housing to an operative position biting into the wall of the cell which is firmly held against a contact in the housing.

3672154 - ELECTRIC TIME-PIECE - Owned by Ebauches Electroniques S.A. (Neuchatel,CH)

A time-piece the case of which contains a source of current in the form of an ordinary or storage-battery housed in a space closed by means of a plug, characterized by the fact that one of the two elements, casing and plug, is provided with a scale and the other one with a mark, so that when the plug is put in place, it can be adjusted to such an angular position that the mark indicates, at least approximately, with respect to said scale, the date at which the source of current has been put in place or the date at which this source must be replaced.

4053688 - Battery holder

The invention is a battery holder which is used to hold a pair of batteries in a modular electronic assembly having a substrate, on which an integrated circuit is mounted, and a module cap, which is concentrically, slightly larger than the substrate. The battery holder includes a module frame having a front surface, which is concentrically, slightly larger than the module cap, a back surface and a sidewall. The module frame also has a portion of its sidewall extending above the periphery adjacent to its front surface and two holes, perpendicular to its front surface and adapted to hold the pair of batteries. The battery holder also includes a metal plate, which is secured to the back surface of the module frame, for holding the pair of batteries in place.

4009564 - Electronic watch construction - Owned by Hughes Aircraft Company (Culver City, CA)

Electronic watch module is constructed of a spacer block, a substrate on the spacer block carrying electronic components thereon, and a cover over some of the electronic components. Basic rate control of the electronic watches is provided by a crystal which is mounted in a can. An opening in the spacer block receives the crystal can, and deflectable fingers on the spacer block restrain the crystal can in place.
