Abstract
A soil-working agricultural spring tooth having a flat, vertical upper end, and acute-angled tip at the lower end terminating in a vertical plane rearward of the upper end, a generally horizontal convoluted connector section depending from the upper end and extending rearwardly, and an arcuate working section of reversed curvature extending from the tip to a substantially horizontal transition section connecting to the connector section, the transition section being in the same general horizontal plane as the point of transition between the upper end and the connector section.

Related Patents
3896883 - Cultivator tooth assembly - Owned by Varlen Corporation (East Alton, IL)

A cultivator spring tooth assembly including a multiple radii, single strip spring tooth of uniform cross section with a stiffening radius section between the working section and the spring section.

4050524 - Cultivator tooth clamp - Owned by Kent Manufacturing Co., Inc. (Tipton, KS)

A clamp for mounting an agricultural spring tooth to a square cross section tool bar includes an L-shaped angle bracket, one leg having a transverse slot near a free end thereof, the other leg having a bolt receiving aperture near its end, and a partially channel shaped retaining clip having a transverse slot near one end and a bolt receiving aperture near the other end. The bracket is mounted on the tool bar in contact with two adjacent sides of the square bar, the mounting of the spring tooth shank being received in the bracket slot and contacting another side of the bar, and the clip being overlayed on the mounting shank with the end of the one leg received in the clip slot. A bolt is passed through the other leg, the clip, and the shank, clamping same together on the tool bar. Side flanges on the retaining clip rest adjacent side edges of the mounting shank whereby, in cooperation with the clip slot, lateral pivoting of the tooth is resisted.

4754816 - Overcap point for tillage tool - Owned by Adams Hard-Facing Company, Inc. (Guymon, OK)

A tillage tool which includes an elongated shank having a bifurcated forward end. A protective overcap point is secured to the bifurcated forward end of the shank by means of a trapezoidally cross-sectioned key which interlocks in the bifurcation slot. The overcap point further includes a pair of laterally opposed, downwardly extending side skirt portions which extend adjacent the side edges of the bifurcated leading end of the shank. A centrally located rib projects from the front of the overcap to adjacent the rear side thereof on the upper side of the overcap, and is of increasing width from its forward end to its rearward end, so that its divergent, opposed sides function to deflect dirt away from the center line of the shank portion.

3827505 - MOUNTING CLAMP FOR SPRING TOOTH - Owned by Royal Industries, Inc. (Sac City, IA)

A mounting clamp for a spring tooth for securing the same to the frame of a spring tooth cultivator; and a cultivator including the same. Disclosed is a U-shaped clamp having generally parallel legs spaced from each other a distance equal to the sum of the width of the frame member and the width of the mounting end of the spring tooth. The forward one of the legs includes rearwardly directed wings having a length corresponding to the width of the mounting end of the spring tooth while the bight of the clamp is provided with an elongated slot through which the mounting end may be passed to be interposed between the frame and the forward leg. The forward leg supports the mounting end throughout its entire length and thereby reducing breakage while the wings preclude pivoting of the spring tooth that would destroy the cultivating pattern.

5394668 - Panel extension assembly - Owned by Herman Miller, Inc. (Zeeland, MI)

The present invention is directed to a panel extension assembly for supporting an extension wall panel on top of a base wall panel. The panel extension has a channel member adapted to receive a substantially horizontally extending top surface of a base wall panel frame. The channel member has a pair of spaced side walls joined by a middle wall and is adapted to slide over the sides and rest on the top surface of the base wall panel frame. An extension member is attached to the channel member and extends upward therefrom. An extension wall panel is attached to the extension member thereby securing the extension wall panel on top of the base wall panel.
