Abstract
An arrangement for storing bulky equipment of the type installed and used on a dump truck and removed from the truck during nonuse periods consists of a support pivotally connected at the rear of the equipment and adapted to rest on the ground and a pair of front legs having transverse arms which fit in openings at the front of the equipment. The arms are inserted in the openings after the truck has raised the front of the equipment to an elevated position so that when the truck body is subsequently lowered the front legs engage the ground to maintain the equipment elevated above the dump truck and the truck can be moved forwardly leaving the equipment at rest, supported by the pivotal support and front legs.

5098019 - Truck tank

A tank is disclosed for installation on dump trucks. The tank is supported on two pairs of legs which are hinged to the bottom of the tank and pivotally movable between a lowered and locked position for supporting the tank on the ground and a raised position when the tank is installed on a dump truck. The tank has rollers on the bottom and sides to guide the movement of the tank into the truck bed during installation. A distribution manifold for liquid in the tank is secured on the back end of the tank at a level for draining and sprinkling the contents of the tank along with an optional pumping device liquid while standing on the ground on the supporting legs or while on the truck. It is loaded on the truck by tilting the truck bed to the rear and backing the truck to engage the rollers mounted on the front end of the tank. On engagement with the truck bed, the rollers guide the movement of the tank into the bed and the front pair of legs are collapsed and folded under the tank while backing the truck up. When the tank is fully inside the truck bed with the liquid distribution manifold hanging below the level of the truck bed, the spring loaded rear pair of supporting legs are unpinned, rotated 180 to an upper position above the rear end of the tank and secured in place by pinning.

6832883 - Conveyor bin stand

The invention comprises a wheeled vehicle having a vehicle frame with rear wheels and a detachable frame mounted to the vehicle frame. The detachable frame is adapted carry a bin, with a conveyor to convey material rearward along the bottom of the bin and spinners at the rear of the bin and at the rear of the conveyor to spin and spread material from the bin onto the conveyor from the conveyor. The wheeled vehicle has a hydraulic piston and cylinder for raising the forward portion of the detachable frame from the vehicle frame and a pair of front and rear legs detachably mounted to the front and rear of the detachable frame to support the detachable frame independently of the vehicle frame, along with the bin, conveyor, and spinners. The rear legs are upwardly adjustable in cooperation with the piston and cylinder to raise the front and rear of the detachable frame to facilitate removal and attachment of the legs to the detachable frame.

5267779 - Pick up truck conversion dumping body - Owned by R & D Unlimited, Inc. (Carroll County, MD)

A pickup truck conversion dumping body comprises two separate assemblies; one comprising of an open cargo box (Dumper) configured to accommodate pickup truck cargo bed; a companion assembly comprising of a track system with a movable carriage (Shuttle) which may be manuevered back and forth with a chain drive. The two assemblies are attached to one another with the cargo box body riding upon the carriage and attached to the carriage with connecting links. The carriage is arranged into the track system with caster means allowing it to ride in a horizontal position under normal operation. An escape pattern is provided with the track system, which allows the cargo box to be easily tilted. When the carriage has traveled a predetermined distance, the cargo box is then tilted downward by the force of gravity, causing its contents to be dumped. When the cargo box body is not needed for dumping purposes it may be disconnected from carriage and may be parked aside much like a Camper The track system may also be removed, for the operator will soon discover that the carriage shuttle within the track system may be used for other purposes, such as delivery and unloading lumber and machinery.

6676361 - Stand for removable cargo box for a dump vehicle - Owned by Deere & Company (Moline, IL)

A stand for a removable cargo box of a dump vehicle and a method for removing the box from a tractor. The stand has left and right mirror image legs each including a support member and a base to hold the support member upright. A cargo box attachment member is pivotally mounted to the support member and is adapted to attach to the cargo box. A vehicle attachment member is also mounted to the support member and is adapted to be attached to the vehicle, in this case a tractor, to hold the leg in place relative to the tractor while removing and remounting the cargo box. A latch holds the cargo box attachment member in a fixed rotational position relative to the support member. A method of removing the cargo box from the tractor is also disclosed.

5651655 - Particulate cargo container support and method of using

A particulate cargo container support apparatus having plural pairs of side-by-side laterally spaced upright post members rotatably supporting shaft members extending therebetween. Hook members are positioned on the rotatable shaft member so as to be movable out of the path of a container on a raised truck bed when the truck is positioned under the support apparatus. A control device in the form of a manually operable handle is connected to an end of the shaft member for effecting the rotation of the shaft member and hook members into and out of the path of the container on the truck bed. The hook members engage the container on the truck bed when the truck bed is lowered. When the truck bed is fully lowered, a vertical, separation between the container and the truck bed is effected. The container is then fully supported on the support apparatus and the truck is free for other uses.
