Abstract
An electrically driven, hand operated and portable device for massaging the body. The device includes a pair of reciprocating patters which are timed so as to alternately pat the body. The drive is directly from the electric motor shaft, through a pair of gears, each of which have an eccentric pin mounted therein and which pins are each connected to their respective reciprocating patter through a follower member. The drive is easily assembled.

A massaging vibrator gives instantaneous shocks to desired body parts of a person, and at the same time, the vibrations of the mechanism are moderate and a good effect is produced.

4632094 - Electro-mechanical heart compressor system

An electro-mechanical heart compressor system for use in rendering first aid in cases of heart stoppage provides a constant-stroke-length, motor driven reciprocating plunger extending downwardly through a first or upper mounting plate. A second or lower mounting plate with uprights at the ends provides a support for a patient and adjustably holds above it the upper mounting plate in position with the plunger above a mark designating the proper location for the patient's heart. The reciprocation is provided by an electric motor acting through a crank and slotted yoke adjustably affixed to the shaft of the plunger, which shaft is held in guides.

5140979 - Massager - Owned by Shin-Atsu-Shin Clinic, Inc. (Tokyo,JP)

A massager for giving vibratory hits on a skin face. A multiplicity of stimulative projections each having an acute apex are provided on an impingement vibrating member impinging on the skin face. The impingement vibrating member is fitted with an ion electrode for energizing pointwise the minus ions on the skin face. The ion electrode is formed with an energizing projection, whereby the minus ions act pointwise on the skin face.

6500135 - Percussive massager - Owned by HoMedics, Inc. (Commerce Township, MI)

A percussive massager is provided having a housing including a massage head portion and a handle portion, and a motor support unit affixable within the massage head portion. A motor is supported by the motor support unit, and an output shaft rotatably driven by the motor protrudes from the motor on either side thereof. The massager further includes a set pair of vertical connecting rods each having a first end and a second end, wherein the first ends are operably connected to the output shaft such that rotation of the output shaft causes the connecting rods to reciprocate axially in an asynchronous manner. A rocker arm is attachable to the motor support unit at a central pivot axis thereof, wherein the rocker arm is operably connected to the second ends of the connecting rods and is moved about the central pivot axis by rotation of the output shaft. At least two massage nodes are operably connected to the rocker arm to form a massage surface, wherein the massage nodes are moved asynchronously toward and away from the massage head portion by each of the connecting rods to provide a percussive massage effect.
