Abstract
A spring suspension system comprises a first spring device and a spring arm adapted to turn about a pivot or a pivotal line of the spring-supported mass, and a second spring device connected between the spring arm and the spring-supported mass, the second spring device being capable of preferential action with respect to the first spring device.

3901494 - Auxiliary vehicle spring installation

An auxiliary coil spring installation for vehicles having coil springs for improving stability in load-carrying capability of the vehicle. Coil springs are installed outwardly or outboard of the regular coil springs of the vehicle. The auxiliary coil springs are supported directly on the axle shaft housing and are retained at their upper ends by particularly shaped spring retainer brackets installed by being bolted to available brackets on the sides of the chassis frame members.

5620173 - Double-acting distributed pressure vibration proof structure

A double-acting distributed pressure vibration proof structure is comprised of three or more than three relatively iter-linked bodies, whereof each inter-linked body is coupled with the respective end joint hinges and the middle joint hinge to the V-shaped two-arm structure, thereof the vibration spring is installed respectively on each end joint hinge of the V-shaped two-arm structure, as well as between the middle joint hinge of the V-shaped two arm structure and the inter-linked body coupled with one end of one arm of the V-shape two-arm structure. An interacting three-joint hinges structure is embodied through each end joint hinge of the V-shaped two-arm structure and the hinge structure between the middle joint hinge and the joint hinge of each linked carrier to constitute a multi-vibration absorptive double-acting distributed pressure vibration proof structure. A limiting structure comprised of the two-staged dragging arm can be further installed as required between the middle joint hinge structure and the carrier coupled with one of the arm structure, in which the middle joint of the two-staged dragging arm can be bent freely. One end of the arm can be to coupled with the middle joint of the V-shaped two-arm structure, while the other end can be freely swung to couple with the carrier coupled with one arm or the two-arms structure, to constitute a double-acting distributed pressure vibration proof structure capable of limiting the arm swing angle.

4573703 - Vehicle suspensions

A suspension for a vehicle that improves riding comfort without sacrificing stability. The improved suspension may be disposed at front wheels, or rear wheels, or both front and rear wheels. Each suspension at the front or rear wheels comprises a walking beam pivoted intermediate to its ends and arranged longitudinally of the vehicle. One end of the walking beam is disposed over the axle which supports the wheel, with a first spring disposed between the beam end and a mounting bracket connected to the wheel hub, while the other end of the walking beam is disposed over a support which is rigidly carried by the vehicle frame, with a second spring disposed between this beam other end and the rigid support. Thus, when the wheel strikes a bump in the road, it and its axle are displaced upwardly and compress the first spring to absorb part of the road shock. However, because the walking beam is pivoted intermediate to its ends, road shock will be transmitted to the second spring to compress the same. Since road shock is absorbed by the two springs, the vehicle ride is substantially improved. My invention is adapted to be used with a MacPherson strut-type suspension and makes use of the coil spring in such strut to provide the first spring noted above.

5845896 - Counter balanced suspension

A vehicle suspension system (110) having a primary suspension system (112) and a secondary suspension system (114). Vertical motion of a vehicle wheel (120) places a force on the vehicle frame (126) which, in turn, places a force on the vehicle body (124). The secondary suspension system (114) translates the relative motion between the wheel (120) and frame (126) into a force on the vehicle body (124) which is equal and opposite to the force transmitted from the frame (126) to the body (124). A frictional shock absorber (300) is utilized in the suspension system (110) as well as a multi-stage coil spring (400).

6084329 - Vibration mechanism having a magnetic spring - Owned by Delta Tooling Co., Ltd. (Hiroshima,JP)

A vibration mechanism having a magnetic spring includes a lower frame, an upper frame vertically movably mounted on the lower frame via a plurality of link mechanisms, and at least two permanent magnets mounted on the lower frame and the upper frame, respectively, with the same magnetic poles opposed to each other. A plurality of springs are connected to the link mechanisms to produce a lifting force of the upper frame. The total spring constant of the permanent magnets and the springs is partially set to a negative value or substantially zero.
