Abstract
Apparatus for playing a game with a number of participants wherein the apparatus includes a number of flexible cord-like members, each member being of a different color for identifying it with a respective participant and loops at each end thereof for releasably connecting the same to a body part of a participant. Each member has beads bearing game instruction indicia thereon to indicate the play of the game wherein the participants successively make moves which cause them to become intertwined. In one form of the invention, the members are separate from each other and in a second form of the invention, the members are coupled together.

5447121 - Escort safety line for children

An improved method providing safety for young children being escorted from one point to another by adults. The method is non-tethering and non-restraining requiring only direction, to instruction-prone children to hold onto a ring. A number of Dual-Rings (4), forming a plurality of two-position entities, are slid onto a flexible, common center supporting line (2), through a hole in the Dual-Rings and held in place by Dowel Pins (8) which pass through the Dual-Rings and line. One Dual-Ring provides two positions and accommodates two children. The Dual-Ring spacing along the longitudinal axis of the center support line is appropriate to allow children to be escorted without companion interference. The individual ring spacing, of a Dual-Ring entity, is minimal, thus allowing the children to walk closely abreast to one another, in two columns, on narrow sidewalks prevalent in school/ preschool residential areas. The Dual-Ring is further embodied with imprinted numbers, letters or symbols adjacent to each ring allowing the adult(s) to foster the learning process of children. By option, an Extension Line (14) of proper length, with a small loop on one end, and a loop with Clip Fastener (10) on the other, permits augmentation of another escort line. The non-rigid, flexible characteristics of the Escort Safety Line permit ease of handling, compactness and lightweight mobility.

4124207 - Game apparatus - Owned by Marvin Glass & Associates (Chicago, IL)

A physical activity game for opposing teams of two or more players comprises a plurality of adjustable, flexible straps adapted to be looped around the arms and/or legs of the players of each team. An elongated flexible element is provided for each team and is adapted to be passed through the looped straps on the players in a selected order. A chance selector comprising an enlarged mixing area and a restricted display area for a plurality of chance elements is provided for randomly determining the order that the flexible element must be passed through the looped straps on the players' wrists and ankles. The straps and chance elements have corresponding indicia such as color coding whereby the order randomly determined by the chance means directs the order of passage of the flexible elements through the particular color coded straps positioned on the players' arms and legs. After a selected order is determined, the game begins, and the first team of players to complete the passage of the flexible element through all of the looped straps in the proper order wins the game.

4684127 - Game with tether straps

There is disclosed a game for four or more players whereby the players are attached together by removably attached tethers, and then required to perform physical movements and maintain their attached relationships one to another. The tether straps provide a yielding restraint and the game challenges the players to perform certain physical movements without breaking this restraint.

5697133 - Method and apparatus for basting quilts or the like

A method and apparatus for basting layers of flexible materials together such as for quilt making includes a spacing member, such as a grid, having openings therein is disposed on a support surface. A backing member or first flexible member is operatively secured to the support surface and a second member disposed over the first flexible member. Other layers are then placed over the second flexible member and, in the case of quilt making, there would typically be just three layers. A basting gun having a hollow needle is then utilized by pushing the hollow needle through all of the layers of flexible material and into one of the openings in the spacing member. Then the basting tool is utilized to force the first end of the plastic fastener through the hollow needle so that this first end of the plastic fastener is on one end of the flexible members and the second end of the plastic fastener is on the other side of the flexible members whereby the flexible members are held together by the plastic fastener. This process is repeated at various places on the flexible layers until they are held together sufficiently so that they can be permanently sewn together.
