A personal noise making and alarm signal device which can be worn in the pocket of a garment, comprising two concave parts opposingly connected together at their peripheries. Within the enclosure is an electric sound producing device, including an electromagnetic speaker, sounding board means carried by the electromagnetic speaker and by one of the parts, a cone carried by one of the parts and having its small opening lying close to the loud speaker device and a combined battery and push button switch device connected in circuit relation with the sound producing and loud speaker devices, the combined battery and switch contact device including a switch button unit adapted to be alternately extended and retracted for engagement with the battery contacts or disengagement of the battery contacts. A combined battery and switch may be confined within the enclosure or may be a separate unit and wired to the sound producing and loud speaker device. When the combined battery and switch device is disposed in the enclosure an enlarged cover member engages the switch button and is spring biased from a partition wall toward a retaining ring secured in an enlarged opening in one of the parts. A plug outlet is provided on the enclosure parts to supply a separate combined battery and push button unit to effect operation of the unit separate and apart from the sound producing and loud speaking unit.
A sound generator, in particular for parking assistance systems for vehicles, has a housing (2) comprising a base part (4) and a top part (6), wherein the base part (4) defines a receiving space (8, 10), which can be covered by the top part (6), for receiving a diaphragm (38). The base part (4) is formed as one part together with the top part (6) via a connecting section (28), wherein the base part (4) and the top part (6) can be moved relative to each other and can be joined by a joining device (26).
An audio speaker for incorporation into garments, upholstery, etc., has a diaphragm (10) and connecting wires (18) or switch (48), and a concave cover (20 or 44) made of a heat-molded textile having a ceramic textile covering. The speaker is attached by stitching (16) to an aperture (12) in a piece of conventional textile (14), for easy incorporation into a garment. The speaker may be sewn into the hood of a sports garment, or may be attached by the switch to a conducting area within a concave area of a garment such as a dress.
An electronic alarm wristwatch including a wristwatch case with a time display and an alarm buzzer therein wherein the display overlaps at least a portion of the alarm buzzer is provided. The alarm buzzer is positioned in a sound member in registration with buzzer openings in the watchcase for directing the buzzer sound to the time display side of the wristwatch. By overlapping the time display and buzzer, the size of the time display area may be increased without increasing the overall size of the wristwatch.
