The module is provided with input and output electrical contacts which are arranged to receive conventional cable terminations. The input and output contacts are respectively brought out from the interior of the module body to exposed connection pins. There are as many exposed connection pins as there are input and output contacts. Connections are made between or among the several connection pins by conventional means in order to change the scheme or arrangement of wiring connections in an electronic apparatus to another connection scheme. An insulating and sealing cover or permanent potting may be placed over the pins to protect the newly made connections.
A thermodilution catheter assembly for use in determining cardiac output includes a special connector for joining the catheter to the output computer. Catheter size indicator links housed in the connector automatically communicate the size of the catheter to the computer when the connection is made. As an optional feature, the connector additionally includes means to automatically energize the computer when the connection is made.
A removable connector operable to be inserted between a main cable carrying seismic information and a box connector of a remote acquisition module. The removable connector is adapted to isolate any forces arising in the main cable from the box connector of the module. The removable connector is removably secured to the remote acquisition module by a pin which extends through the housing of the removable connector and a bracket mounted to the module. The pin transfers the cable forces to the remote acquisition module and substantially isolates the box connector from such forces thereby extending the life of the box connector.
A telephone cable adapter is provided to distribute and translate the conductor pairs of a telephone cable to electrically connect and translate the color code to a noncorresponding multi-plug telephone set. The adapter has a plurality of male plugs adapted for connection to corresponding connectors of the telephone cable; and a plurality of female connectors, different in number from the male plugs, adapted for connection to corresponding plugs of the telephone set. The pins of the male plugs are electrically connected to sockets of the female connectors by conductors, such as wires or printed circuit pathways, to direct and translate conductor pairs of the cable to the connectors and color code of the telephone set.
A hybrid interface adapter is provided for interfacing a digital assembly to a standard data and control bus. The adapter includes level translating circuits for translating signal levels between the assembly and the control bus. The adapter also has a first port for connection to a bus through a standard connecter and a second port for connecting and mounting the adapter to the digital assembly.
A connecting member for establishing delta circuits in a three-legged transformer includes a body formed from a mass of insulating material and having first, second and third pairs of opposing, radially extending connecting elements and electrically conductive members housed in the body and the pairs of electrical communication and for establishing a predetermined delta circuit when said pairs of connecting elements are electrically connected to the transformer terminals. Visual markings and/or window areas can be provided to permit visual determination of the first, second and third paths.
