5096698 - Packaged dental cream - Owned by Colgate-Palmolive Company (Piscataway, NJ)

Dental cream in contact with a polyolefin resin surface of a package such as a laminate tube, a mechanical dispenser or a flexible sachet. The dental cream contains a dentally acceptable water-insoluble alkaline earth metal salt, a liquid vehicle, a gelling agent and an additive which prevents syneresis. The liquid vehicle contains water, glycerine and sorbitol. The additive which prevents syneresis due to contact between the dental cream and the polyolefin resin is a nonionic block copolymer containing moieties of polyoxyethylene and polyoxypropylene.

4327079 - Dentifrice compositions - Owned by Dental Chemical Co., Ltd. (Tokyo,JP)

A dentifrice composition containing synthetic hydroxyapatite powder which is neutral or weakly alkaline or contains 0.1 to 20% by weight of NaCl and/or KCl and 0.003 to 3% by weight of MgCl.sub.2. The dentifrice composition is very effective in fortifying a surface of a tooth, promoting remineralization of the surface of the tooth and eliminating plaque from the tooth.

5670137 - Anhydrous dentifrice composition - Owned by L'Oreal (Paris,FR)

The invention concerns a dentifrice composition containing, in an anhydrous medium which comprises glycerin, at least one hydroxyethylcellulose having at least one hydrophobic chain, and at least one pyrogenetic silica with an average primary particle size of less than 40 nm; as well as its use in bucco-dental hygiene.

5496541 - Tasteful toothpaste and other dental products - Owned by Pilot Research & Development Co. (Merion, PA)

Dental products employing a ternary surfactant system of poloxamers, anionic polysaccharides, and nonionic cellulose ethers. This ternary surfactant system has greatly enhanced foaming power relative to poloxamers alone or to poloxamers plus anionic polysaccharides or to poloxamers plus nonionic cellulose ethers. The poloxamer-anionic polysaccharide-nonionic cellulose ether surfactant system has little or no taste, is nonirritating, and has excellent adhesion to tooth surfaces and oral mucosa. Inclusion of a mild abrasive plus one or more of xylitol, raw licorice, licorice extract, and glycyrrhizin and its derivatives enhances the clinical efficacy of the formulations by further reducing plaque buildup thus brightening teeth and reducing tooth decay and periodontal disease. The surfactant system can be used in a dentifrice paste or gel, powder, granules, disintegrable tablet, and a mouthwash, lozenge, and chewing gum.

5348734 - Oral health preparation and method - Owned by Micropure Inc. (Scottsdale, AZ)

A stable mouth wash or dentifrice composition containing stabilized chlorine dioxide and phosphates is disclosed for reducing the motility of and killing microbial pathogens. The preferred concentration ranges are between about 0,005%-0.5% chlorine dioxide, and between about 0.02%-3.0% phosphate. The phosphate retards escape of chlorine dioxide in the pH range (6.0 to 7.4) typically found in a mouth.
