A model aircraft adapted to fly about a pylon to which it is tethered is powered and controlled by rotary movement of power and control wires between the pylon and aircraft. The aircraft incorporates a compensating linkage between the control wire and movable control surface of the aircraft.
To provide a turning device that involves a small number of components, is inexpensive, and can be easily operated.A turning device (1) is composed of a base plate (2) and a rotating case (10) rotatably provided on the base plate (2). A sun gear (3) is secured to the base plate (2). The rotating case (10) is provided with a planetary gear (33) in mesh with the sun gear (3), a drive motor (20) for rotating the planetary gear (33), a power source portion (49) for supplying electricity to the drive motor (20), a switch (42) for controlling the driving/stopping of the drive motor (20), an operating means (44) for operating the switch (42), and suspending members (52, 53) for suspending a turning body (50), the suspending member (52) being connected to the operating means (44).
An animal walker or conditioning system. The preferred embodiment of the present invention contemplates a horse walker or conditioner incorporating a direct drive hydraulic motor, the motor configured to provide a powered bearing surface to support and axially rotate a vertical shaft having laterally extending arms emanating therefrom, which arms can be utilized to direct a horse or other animal in a circular path about the vertical shaft. The unique design utilizes an off the shelf direct drive hydraulic motor and conventional power system, with the hydraulic power unit preferably situated away from the vertical shaft, and power and control lines running underground to the hydraulic motor supporting the vertical shaft.
The present invention 10 discloses a model aircraft 14 for preventing the fouling of control lines for tethered aircraft controlled by means of radio frequency transmission 12. The present invention 10 has a coupling 22 for model aircraft attached by a semi rigid conduit 20 to a base control unit 18. The rigid conduit 20 is a composite material tube providing anti-sway control. The tube 20 houses a lubricant and drive cable 40 connected to a coupling 22 connecting the aircraft 14 to the base control unit 18 whereby various aircraft may be substituted. At the other distal end the semi-rigid member is removably secured to a drive module housing the drive motor 36 that forms part of the base control unit 18. The base module 18 houses a power supply 52, receiver 48, servo motor 50 and speed control 46. A hand held remote control 12 unit is used to transmit control signals for the aircraft elevator control and prop speed. Because of the coupling 22 the aircraft is able to rotate 360 degrees at any point in the flight path 102 in addition to performing various stunt maneuvers such as tail wags, stalls, inverted flight, loops, flips and much more.
The present invention relates to a tethered controlled flying toy that is attached to a control unit by a hollow tube and a clutch assembly. A rotating cable extends from a motor within the control unit through the clutch assembly and the hollow tube to the flying toy where it attaches to the propeller of the flying toy. The rotating cable is rotated by the motor that in turn causes the propeller of the flying toy to rotate and the flying toy to become airborne. The present invention can be used in confined spaces and simulates many the aerodynamics of true flight.
