Abstract
A toy building element which is adapted to be interengaged with a similar or identical building element comprising a hollow rectangular box which has an exterior top face with a plurality of rows of a plurality of equally spaced cylindrical projections which extend above the top face and which are provided with boxes having diameters which are the same as cylindrical pin elements which project in an opposite direction from an interior face within the box. The diameter of the pin elements is substantially equal to the spacing between adjacent cylindrical projections of adjacent rows. This makes it possible to interengage the cylindrical pin of one building element between the cylindrical projections of another building element or to engage the pins into the bores of the cylindrical projections.

4919635 - Toy construction assembly - Owned by The Ritvik Group Inc. (Dorval,CA)

There is disclosed a construction toy kit including small and large blocks having a hollow open ended box-like base with primary cylindrical outer couplers and inner cylindrical couplers within the base. The size and configuration of these blocks do not allow them to be coupled directly together and the kit includes intermediate blocks capable of so doing.

3982353 - Doll head mounting joint - Owned by Interlego A.G. (CH)

A doll head is provided with a neck for mounting the head on a body portion comprising a block having a central cavity and four studs arranged symmetrically around the cavity. The neck comprises three axially spaced coaxial portions, of which the one remote from the head has a diameter substantially equal to the diameter of the cavity in the block. The intermediary neck portion has a diameter substantially equal to the diameter of a circle inscribed between the four studs, while the diameter of the neck portion adjacent to the head is too large to enable this portion to be inserted between the four studs. The doll head has other connecting portions thereon for attaching toy elements.

6398612 - Construction toy interconnector

A construction toy is disclosed which interconnects construction toys of different types. One version connects toys of the construction block type to toys of the hub and spoke type. Gripper posts (22) or gripper arms (34 and 46) on the interconnector create channels (24, 36 and 48, respectively) which receive a hub (40) from a hub and spoke construction toy. Spokes from the hub and spoke construction toy connect with the block toy at many different angles. Blocks from the block type construction toy connect normally on all faces of the base interconnector. Channels (24, 36 and 48) on the base allow variable hub (40) placement to accommodate the different sizes and spacings of the different toys. This invention maintains substantially all the possible connections of each toy after interconnection.

4629192 - Interlocking puzzle blocks

A building puzzle block includes an elongated body portion in the form of a rectangular parallelepipedon. Spheres are attached to the body portion along edges thereof and at spaced distances. An equal number of receiving sockets are formed at spaced distances. An equal number of receiving sockets are formed at spaced distances on the edges of the body portion for interconnecting the blocks with other similar blocks.

7340868 - Universal structural element

The invention describes a universal structural element (1) for the purpose of forming in particular, three-dimensional structures, which structural element can be manufactured in a convenient manner efficiently, cost-effectively from the most varied materials and can be recycled in an environmentally-friendly manner, can be used and applied universally, enables a monolithic type of construction using similar connectors (5) for connecting similar structural elements together and with other elements at low assembly cost and allows disassembly or reconstruction work to be conducted in a straightforward and non-destructive manner, meets high static requirements and can preferably be standardized in modular dimensions. In accordance with the invention, a universal structural element (1) in the form of a profile body, having preferably a substantially square cross-section, comprises on all longitudinal sides undercut grooves (2) that are connected on the end sides (3) by means of intersecting undercut grooves (4) with preferably the same cross-section.
