Portable amusement device, commonly known as "Tilt-a-Whirl", characterized by a trailer forming operative and other parts of the device, including hoisting apparatus employed during assembly and disassembly. It is designed to stow the various parts on the trailer in compact manner to facilitate transportation thereof. After disconnecting the trailer from a tractor-type truck its frame is lowered to the ground, forming a rigid central support about which the device may rotate. An entrance compartment to the assembled device is utilized to stow parts of same and, when optionally employed, a pivoted box adjacent the entrance, also employed as storage space, may be elevated to provide an advertizing or identification of the particular type of device or "ride".
A structure on which electrically driven amusement bumper cars are operable comprises a trailer with fixed and fold out floor sections on a common level and fixed and fold out ceiling sections on an elevated level with respect thereto for supplying electrical energy to trolley equipped bumper cars.

Electrically powered vehicles are guided and powered over an electrified track having a main enclosed path, and an alternate loading area for discharge and pick up of passengers. Automatic launch and vehicle exit features between the main path and loading area prevent vehicle collisions, with minimum requisite operator activity. A pick-up assembly carried on the vehicle both guides and electrically powers the vehicle as it moves over the track. The track has an electrified pair of members also forming a guidance channel in which the pick-up assembly from the vehicle is received. The configuration of the pick-up assembly and its interaction with the electrified guidance channel causes proper electrical pick-up substantially regardless of the terrain formed by the track over which the vehicle travels. An alternate electrical pick-up embodiment uses resilient filler for quieter operation. Each vehicle includes a timing device to signal the ride operator riders have traveled for a given time, so that it may be routed into the loading area for exchange of passengers. A pneumatic lift system on each vehicle pivots the vehicle body upward for entry and exit of passengers.
