Abstract
A wrist watch has a glass fitted in a snap. An inwardly facing groove in the snap, normally closed by the glass, houses a miniature bulb connected by wires passing through watertightly-closed openings communicating the snap with the outside of the watch case. The wires are connected to batteries housed in extensions to the watch case, said extensions including a switch to enable illumination of the bulb by a pressure on the wearer's wrist.

3855784 - ILLUMINATED TIME PIECE

A wrist watch has a bulb which periodically illuminates the watch face. A solid state oscillator circuit periodically energizes the bulb at a rate which imposes an acceptable current drain on the battery. Two mercury switches are connected in series between the battery and oscillator circuit. They are oriented in the watch so that they energize the bulb only when the watch is held in a viewing position in front of the wearer.

3783604 - WRIST WATCH WITH A DIAL-ILLUMINATING DEVICE - Owned by PR Societe de Revision, Traitement de l'Information et Recouvrement SA (Geneva,CH)

In a wrist watch comprising a pivotally mounted bracelet element housing an lectric storage cell supplying a miniature bulb for illuminating the dial, the bulb is housed in a recess between two glass-retaining snap grooves in the watch case, said recess communicating with the exterior via a bore in a tubular projection on the watch case. A sheathed conducting lead connecting the bulb to the cell passes through and is constricted in said projection by ductile deformation of the metal thereof to form a watertight fit, and is likewise constricted in a similar projection on the cell casing. The bracelet element also includes contact means for closing and opening the electric circuit of the bulb.

3841080 - WATCH DISPLAY SWITCH

A tilt sensitive electrical switch wherein an asymmetrically balanced disc mounted on an axis causes electrical contact to be made when it is aligned in the desired activation region (plane); various embodiments are provided for causing electrical contact and for minimizing electrical energy dissipation.

3823550 - SOLID STATE WATCH DISPLAY SWITCH - Owned by Time Computer, Inc.

Disclosed is a solid state wristwatch with an electro-optical digital display of light-emitting diodes. Incorporated in the watch is a switch for actuating the display in response to a predetermined movement of the wearer's arm so that movement of the other hand or arm is not required and the other hand is left free for carrying packages or other uses.
