Abstract
A device for correcting the time displayed on an electronic timepiece having a standard oscillator, a frequency divider bank, a time display unit, a reversible driver and an external actuating member for correcting the time display from the exterior of the timepiece. In the device, means, including an on-off switch, for applying a correcting signal at a variable frequency is connected to the driver through a normal-reverse switch, and these means are arranged for interlocking operation with the external actuating member so that the time display can be corrected at a rapid and controlled rate in response to the manipulation of the external actuating member.

3846972 - CRYSTAL CONTROLLED WATCH - Owned by Textron Inc. (Providence, RI)

A watch having a crystal controlled watch movement mounted in a watch case is provided with a crystal oscillator circuit, internal manually operative oscillator circuit adjustment means located on the underside of the watch movement adjacent the bottom wall of the watch case, visual time display means, and manually operative internal display adjustment means also located on the underside of the watch movement adjacent the bottom wall of the watch case. The bottom wall of the watch case is provided with external manually operated means connected to the internal display adjustment means for changing the time displayed by the display means, and is also provided with removable access means for providing access to the internal oscillator circuit adjustment means for fine tuning the frequency of oscillation of said oscillator circuit.

3978296 - Switching system for an electronic timepiece - Owned by Kabushiki Kaisha Daini Seikosha (JA)

A switching system for an electronic timepiece has: a plurality of display sections which are individually activated in response to movement of manual member for effecting an amendment of said display sections. A switching mechanism is operated by axial movement and rotational movement of said manual member for effecting the desired amendment.

3884033 - Switch for electronic watch - Owned by American Micro-Systems, Inc. (Santa Clara, CA)

A multi-position switch particularly adaptable for an electronic watch comprises a movable plate or disk mounted within a cup-like body and rotatable about an axis to different positions for accomplishing various setting or operating modes. Fixed contacts on the inside of the switch plate are spaced apart but electrically connected so that when the plate is rotated to certain positions relative to its central axis the contacts are aligned for engagement with a particular pair of a series of terminals located on the inside planar surface of the switch body and connected through the body to the internal circuitry of the device. The interconnection of certain pairs of terminals accomplished by the contacts activates internal circuitry of the device to produce the desired operating function or mode.

3842585 - WATCH - Owned by Benrus Corporation (Ridgefield, CT)

This quartz crystal electronic watch eliminates watch parts formerly highly vulnerable to shock, but the quartz crystal assembly itself has high vulnerability to shock. This inventor determined that the quartz crystals resistance to shock is relatively high in all but one of its directions, and the cushioning effect of the watch's external parts is relatively high in all but one of the directions, and he produced an overall highly shock-resistant watch by orienting the quartz crystal's direction of maximum resistance to shock in the watch's direction of least cushioning.

3841081 - ELECTRONIC WATCH WITH A TIME DISPLAY CORRECTING DEVICE - Owned by Kabushiki Kaisha Daini Seikosha (Tokyo,JA)

An electronic watch with a time display correcting device for use in correcting a time display thereof. Winding means are provided for correcting the time display in advancing and delaying modes. Switches change over the switching modes to the time display advancing and delaying correction modes as desired. Circuitry is provided for producing or reducing a signal representative of a predetermined interval of time when the switching means is operated whereby the time display is advanced or delayed by the predetermined interval of time to effect the time display correction. This provides convenience for time correction with enhanced reliability of the watch.
