Abstract
Bend resistant and torsion yielding panel members form panel assemblies, with firm yet detachable connection between the panel assemblies in a knock down construction corral. This construction provides straight line relations between edges and members of the adjacent panel assemblies in absence of stress applied thereto and provides a gentle yet firm snubbing action through an elastic yielding of the panel assemblies when impact is applied thereto by an animal penned therein without any pinching or scratching of the animal. Other walled enclosures of the same construction are applied to truck bodies.

5354036 - Portable utility pen having dual function components - Owned by Stephens Pipe and Steel, Inc. (Russell Springs, KY)

A portable utility pen having components forming both the utility pen and, when packaged, an internal skeleton to the container at the corners and sides when packaged so as to minimize crushing of the container under pressure due to vertical storage or display of a plurality of the containers. For forming the pen, the components comprise plurality of upper rails that have complimentary securing fittings and form a first essentially rectangular configuration defining a first gap when said upper rails are fitted together and a plurality of lower rails having complimentary securing fittings for forming a second essentially rectangular configuration defining a second gap spaced below said first gap when said lower rails are fitted together. The rectangular configurations are joined in a spaced apart arrangement by a plurality of upright members that have complimentary fittings with the rails at the corners thereof forming the rectangular relationships. The gaps form an opening filled by a frame member having a gate swingable between open and shut positions. The frame member is removably secured to the first and second rectangular configurations.

5651333 - Collapsible livestock chute

The present invention relates to a collapsible chute useful for transporting animals or managing them in the confines of a barn structure. The chute consists of a plurality of mounted rails attached to the wall surface of a trailer or barn. A series of rear hinged panels are pivotal hinged around the fixed rails. The panels include a side gate and a opening gate recessed in respective frames. The front portion includes a headgate for holding confined animals stationary. The panels are pivotal hinged to one another in a configuration that permits them to be alternately secured in an expanded position for confining animals or rotated to a collapsed position when not in use. The chute is held in position to confine animals by locking braces secured to a fixed position rail and the hinged panels. A remote rope assembly permits the user to control the headgate portion. The chute is reversible from one opposing wall surface to another creating mirror images. This is accomplished by reattaching the fixed rails to the opposing wall surface and rotating the remaining portion of the chute 180 degrees then reattaching the headgate.

6073587 - Modular animal shelter

A modular animal shelter is conveniently relocatable, inexpensive to construct, and sufficiently durable to house large animals for extended periods of time. The modular animal shelter may be formed using a plurality of prefabricated, discrete, detachably interconnected side panels to define at least a partial enclosure. Each side panel may comprise a plurality of rails supported by a plurality of substantially vertical posts transverse to the rails. The side panels may be supported in a vertical disposition through the interconnecting of the side panels, such that the side panels are self-supporting without being anchored to the ground. A covering for the modular animal shelter may be formed substantially of a foldable material, and preferably extends over the enclosure to shelter the enclosure. The covering is preferably detachably connected to the side panels. A plurality of support members may be detachably connected to the tops of two of the opposing side panels to support the covering. Preferably, the support members are elongated and bowed and attach to the side panels with an insert fit. The side panels, covering, and support members are preferably modular and conveniently detachable from each other such that the animal shelter is adapted for convenient disassembly, transport, and subsequent reassembly.

6499435 - Portable corral

The portable corral has a series of fence sections. Each fence section is preferably formed by a telescoping panel, which has a first female panel and a second male panel, which telescope into or out of each other, thereby permitting the length thereof to be adjusted. The slidable or telescoping panels have base receivers to support the panels or the fence sections as desired. Fasteners also join adjacent sections together, in order to form the corral into its desired shape.

6607228 - Storage apparatus for automobiles - Owned by Markets Direct, Inc. (San Clemente, CA)

A storage enclosure includes a base including a top panel extending transversely from a front panel. The base is attachable to a load deck of an open deck vehicle such that an enclosed space is defined by the front and top panels and the load deck. The base includes mounts within the enclosed space that are attachable to a bracket for attaching the base to the load deck. The top panel includes side portions that extend from opposite ends of the front panel, and a removable cover panel is disposed between the side portions. A cage is mounted to the base that defines a cage compartment above the top panel. The cage includes legs that extend through the base and are engaged by locking elements to removably secure the cage to the base. The cage includes frame segments that are releasably connected to one another by release pins.
