Abstract
A seat structure for ready attachment and detachment from the luggage carriers of cycle type vicles providing a padded seat and back rest maintained in operative relation by strap means detachably secured to ring connectors disposed at the forward corners of the seat and encircling the back rest adjacent its upper edge so as to be inclined downwardly and forwardly past the thighs of the occupant to provide centering side support. The seat structure be comprised of a one piece foam rubber padding enclosed in a stout fabric covering having an elongated pad inserting opening in the lower face of the seat portion to expose a protuberant portion of the padding for intimate deformable engagement with the luggage carrier to obviate relative shifting of the seat structure and luggage carrier and having dependent stirrup straps fixedly secured to the front seat corners to support the occupant's feet and slidably mount the strap ring connectors thereby assurring a balanced seating of the occupant and tensioning of the strap means to increase the supporting function of the back rest and the thigh engaging strap runs due to the weight component acting through the stirrup straps.

5738410 - Collapsible three wheeled stroller with adjustable backrest - Owned by Lisco, Inc. (Tampa, FL)

The present invention relates to a three wheeled stroller which is adapted for use in transporting an infant. The stroller includes a collapsible frame structure and a seat which is adapted to be secured thereto. This frame structure is both laterally collapsible and foldable to facilitate the storage and transportation of the stroller. Both the collapsing and the folding can be initiated by way of an upper lock assembly positioned adjacent the handles of the frame. A series of straps are also included for the purpose of adjusting the seat back of the stroller.

4141587 - Cycle seat with back support

The seat has a base and a backrest with the backrest curving upwardly from the base. A pad of similar configuration is fixed to the base and the backrest. A pair of spaced leaf springs intervene between the pad and the seat in the zone where the base and backrest join. The seat is fastened to the cycle by means of a pierced post bracket. A longitudinal frame fixed to the seat base has spaced rails with pluralities of transversely aligned apertures in which a transverse rod may be selectively placed to locate the seat base with respect to the post bracket which is adapted to be secured to the seat post rising from the cycle frame. A forward clamp near the front end of the seat base clamps about a horizontal frame member of the cycle. The clamp restrains a strap secured in vertically spaced relationship to the bottom portion of the seat base. The strap adjustably restrains a forward portion of the post bracket. The frame rails extend rearwardly of the backrest to afford attachment of a combination of accessories, such as racks and bags, which may be attached to either or both of the backrest and the rails in addition to being supported by the rear axle or the rear wheel fork.

3940166 - Auxiliary retention belt and support cushion for seat of open vehicles

This invention relates to auxiliary seat and back cushion means with safety belt for protective retention of a passenger riding behind the operator of an open vehicle such as a motorcycle wherein the operator rides astride the seat and the passenger, riding behind the operator, is retained upon the vehicle by fastening means encompassing the passenger and the operator; and wherein a back cushion is provided for support of the passenger in upright position.

4111448 - Motorcycle passenger support

A passenger support and protective device for use in connection with a motorcycle is disclosed, including anchoring means for attachment to the motorcycle seat, an upper support structure attached to the anchoring means, and including a back rest adapted to support the passenger seated in a motorcycle seat and a pair of protective upper side rails attached to the back rest for protecting at least the lower torso of the passenger, and a lower support structure for stabilizing the device, including a substantially U-shaped rigidifying member disposed substantially in the plane of the motorcycle seat, and a pair of depending protective lower support rails attached to the rigidifying member for protecting at least the legs of the passenger. The anchoring means preferably substantially follow the contour of the motorcycle seat, and the device may also include a pair of foot support bars attached to the depending protective lower support rails, and means for attaching protective upper support rails to the anchoring means, which in turn is attached directly to the motorcycle seat.

5558260 - Detachable motorcycle passenger seat and/or luggage rack

A method of matching an auxiliary passenger seat, luggage rack, combination of both, to a motorcycle requires adding short spacers to fender attachment bolts of the motorcycle; providing a seat having a plurality of hooks that mate with the spacers, and a plurality of latches; engaging the hooks of the seat to the spacers of the fender attachment bolts; and engaging the latches prevent the hooks from slipping off of the spacers.
