5093814 - Method for programming the perpetual calendar of a watch and a watch for implementing such a process - Owned by Montres Rolex S.A. (CH)

A process for programming the perpetual calendar of a watch with analog time display is effected using elements incorporated in the watch. The hand of the watch and the position of the hand is used to indicate the steps of the programming. The operation of the stem places the watch in the program mode. If it is required to program three parameters, namely, the number of the year in a four year cycle, the number of the month of the year and the day of the month; and if the watch has a hand setting stem with three positions, each parameter to be programmed is allocated to a position of the stem and the parameters to be programmed are read from the second hand by allocating to the latter real steps corresponding to stopping positions and non allowable steps corresponding to non stopping positions.

A multifunctional holding plate for use in an analog wristwatch movement with a calendar date ring, a day of the week disc, an engageable time setting pinion and various gear members. The multifunctional holding plate is attached to the movement frame and has (1) retaining fingers to hold the gear members and date ring in place, (2) a flexible detenting spring leg to detent the date ring, (3) a flexible retaining leg to facilitate engagement of the timesetting pinion, and (4) a flexible detenting spring leg to detent the day disc.

7184369 - Date indicator mechanism for watch movement - Owned by Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier S.A. (Fleurier,CH)

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a timepiece and a mechanism to be used with the timepiece for indicating the date and the day of the present time. In one embodiment, a timepiece may include a dial, indications of seven days of a week inscribed on the dial, and an aperture pierced through the dial and being sized to allow seven dates of a month to appear adjacent the indications on the dial. A mechanism for indicating the date and the day may include a date indicator bearing a series of dates from 1 to 31, a first member configured to cause the date indicator to move by seven days on each Sunday at about midnight, a date corrector bearing a series of dates from 1 to 6 and arranged in such a way that the date corrector can be partially superposed on the date indicator, and a second member configured to cause the date corrector to move in such a way that, at the end of a month having less than 31 days, the date corrector automatically hides incorrect dates and replaces them with its own dates.

6744696 - Annual date mechanism for clock movement - Owned by Rolex S.A.

This annual date mechanism comprises a correction cam (1a) in kinematic connection with a date indicating runner (1), a correction rocker (8) engaged on the one hand with said correction cam (1a) and, on the other hand, with an annual cam (18). A spring (9) presses the correction rocker (8) against the cams (1a, 18). The correction cam (1a) comprises a portion (1a') for arming said spring (9), followed by a portion (1a*) sized to cause said date runner (1) to move by one step between "31" and "1", under the pressure of said spring (9).

7535802 - Annual calendar mechanism for a timepiece - Owned by ETA SA Manufacture Horlogere Suisse (Grenchen,CH)

The invention concerns an annual calendar mechanism, including: a date ring including a lug and 31 teeth, and a date wheel set arranged for rotating the date ring through one step per day, an intermediate wheel set cooperating with the lug such that the date wheel set drives the intermediate wheel set through a first step when the date passes from the 30.sup.th to the 31.sup.st of the month, via the date ring, an annual wheel set meshed with the intermediate wheel set and cooperating with the date wheel set, the date, intermediate and annual wheel sets being arranged such that the date wheel set drives the intermediate wheel set through a second step when the date passes from the 31.sup.st to the 1.sup.st of the month, for the months of 31 days, via the date ring, and such that the date wheel set drives the intermediate wheel set through a second step after the date has passed from the 30.sup.th to the 31.sup.st of the month, for the months of less than 31 days, via the annual wheel set, the intermediate wheel set then driving the date wheel ring. The mechanism further includes a month indicator ring cooperating with the intermediate wheel set, the intermediate wheel set being arranged for rotating the month ring at least to the second step.
