Abstract
The specification discloses the combination of a bottle and a connecting cap therefor, both components having mating screw threads, the components having a mating key and keyway system extending axially of the bottle neck and being designed so that mating of the key and keyway system is necessary before relative rotation between the cap and the bottle to screw the cap onto the bottle is possible. Thus, a connecting cap can only be secured to a bottle if the bottle and cap are complementary and the potential danger of connecting a bottle containing the wrong liquid to, for example, an anaesthetic vapouriser, can be avoided.

5915427 - Anesthetic vaporizer draining system - Owned by Abbott Laboratories (Abbott Park, IL)

A system is provided for draining an anesthetic agent from a reservoir of an anesthetic vaporizer. The system includes an anesthetic agent container having an inlet into which the agent can drain. The vaporizer has a draining station that defines an outlet and that defines a drain passage between the vaporizer reservoir and the outlet. A valve is operable to open and close the drain passage. A connector is provided with a receiving end for connecting to the draining station at the outlet. The connector has a discharge end for connecting to the container inlet. The connector holds the container below the draining station outlet and defines a transfer passage between the receiving end and the discharge end for draining the agent from the draining station into the container. Structural key configurations, uniquely associated with a specific anesthetic, are preferably provided at the connection of the container and connector and at the connection of the draining station and connector.

6176381 - Child resistant container system with movable latch

A child resistant container system includes an open top container having screw threads cooperating with screw threads on a closure cap. The cap is locked in the screwed on position by a reciprocating or pivotal latch mounted to the container which slides or pivots into a recess on the cap. Preferably a stop element, such as a stop ring, having a recess cooperating with the cap recess, is also provided, the latch moving into the aligned recesses on the cap and stop element to securely preclude rotation of the cap with respect to the container.

4629590 - Nebulizer - Owned by CIMCO (Costa Mesa, CA)

A nebulizer providing a moistened breathing mixture for inhalation therapy is arranged to flow a gas-liquid mixture in a circular path around the inner surface of a container that is provided with shallow baffle forming ribs extending vertically across the circular flow path to trap relatively large water particles. A heater is detachably connected to the nebulizer discharge fitting and provides additional structure for trapping and removing larger water particles.

7407117 - Liquid sprayer assembly - Owned by MeadWestvaco Calmar, Inc. (Grandview, MO)

An improved liquid sprayer assembly for connection to a container (which preferably includes two liquid storage compartments) has a housing that includes a container mount having an underside with at least one structure that is operably interposed with corresponding structure on a neck portion of the container such that the container mount is fixed in a predetermined orientation relative to the container. A cap locks the container mount to the neck portion of the container. Preferably, the at least one structure of the container mount comprises a pair of wedge-shaped wall structures together with a plurality of wall structures that extend in a directional substantially parallel to the central axis of the mount/neck. The wedge-shaped wall structures are radially disposed opposite one another about the central axis of the container mount/neck and fit within wedge-shaped voids defined by the neck portion of the container. The plurality of wall structures are operably disposed adjacent corresponding surfaces defined by the neck portion of the container. Preferably, the sprayer employs a hose end connector as well as a venturi tube for aspirating liquid from the container. Preferably, a diverter mechanism, which is mounted within the housing, selectively couples the liquid storage compartment(s) of the container to the inlet port of the venturi tube, and a flow control valve controls the flow of pressurized liquid supplied from the hose end into the venturi tube.
