Abstract
A receiver for use in fastening membranes of waterproofing material to a concrete wall structure so as to tightly secure the upper edge of the membranes and thereby prevent the upper edge from peeling away from the wall and sagging of the membranes. The receiver is in the form of an elongated member which is fastened to the inside of the concrete forms prior to pouring of the concrete, the receiver extending along the length of the forms at grade level. The elongated member is concave in cross-section so as to form a hollow central portion which is exposed in the wall after the forms are removed, the receiver being contained within the poured wall. The concave shape is defined by a pair of leg sections with a tongue element projecting from between the leg sections and biased towards the lower of the leg sections so that the upper edges of the waterproofing members or membranes are clamped between the tongue element and the lower leg section prior to adhering the membranes to the wall surface below the receiver.

4055921 - Reglets and associated components

This invention relates to an improved reglet comprising an elongate channel member defined by first and second parallel transversely spaced wall members each connected along one longitudinal edge to a connecting wall, the other longitudinal edge of each wall member having latching face means defined by a plurality of ridges and grooves for engaging with and securely retaining a component inserted between the wall members.

4409766 - Thermal insulation structure - Owned by Fiberglas Canada Inc. (Toronto,CA)

An exterior insulation layer secured to an above-grade portion of a building basement is protected by a protective sheathing, preferably of impact resistant PVC or the like. The sheathing reaches about 6"-12" below the ground so that the fill of the wall holds the lower end of the sheet in place. The upper portion of the sheeting is directly or indirectly connected to the wall by nails or the like fasteners disposed at a location spaced inwardly of the plane of the exterior of the protective sheet. The advance is in the extreme simplicity and the resulting low cost of the overall insulation of the wall.

4165589 - Reglets and associated components

This invention relates primarily to reglets and the associated components in a weatherproofing system for buildings in which the reglet comprises an elongate element including first and second walls connected to each other along adjacent longitudinal edges to form a channel, one wall of the channel is provided with an abutment surface, behind which an abutment face on a reglet wedge will lock to retain a flashing element, and a plurality of primary abutment surfaces behind which complementary abutments on a sealing portion of the wedge will lock to seal the mouth of the channel.

3958374 - Anchor assembly

An anchor assembly for a flexible sheet of a roof covering, or a roof connecting strip, has a hollow section rail running along an upright wall section projecting upward from an edge of the roof, such as a parapet, at a location spaced upwardly from the roof. Such rail has a longitudinal slot bounded by upper and lower generally coplanar flanges and an upwardly projecting pocket-like extension which receives a thickened edge portion of the sheet. The sheet edge portion is thickened and forms a lip which bears against one of the flanges to anchor such edge portion.

4610120 - Seal against penetration of water into masonry - Owned by Gunimperm S.A. (Castione,CH)

A flexible sealing layer (1) is provided for the collection and lateral drainage of existing water, especially in tunnel constructions. This sealing layer comprises unidirectional, continuously extending webs (3) arranged so that they project toward the water-permeable substrate, thus preserving the required space (D) for water drainage between the layer (1), in close contact with the substrate, and the substrate (U) proper. The webs (3) are of an arrow-like configuration (3') at the end projecting from the sealing layer. The sealing layer is fixed in place by locking or hooking the webs of the sealing layer into complementarily fashioned webs (7, 7') of fixing elements (4), which latter have been previously attached to the substrate (U) by means of nails (5), for example. This type of seal proves to be advantageous, in particular, if the tunnel tube is curved.
