A soothing, cleansing, and beneficial cosmetic facial mask is provided in two parts comprising an oil base, preferably a mixture of almond oil and olive oil, and an aqueous paste of banana flour, dried milk solids. The mask is employed by coating the skin areas to be treated with the oil base and thereafter applying a thick layer of the paste over the oil. The mask is left in place for a period of about thirty to forty minutes and then removed. The oil base will preferably contain a minor amount of Royal Jelly, on the order of about 0.1 to 5.0 weight percent, based on the weight of the oil.
A skin moisturizing and cleansing cream is produced by blending a quantity of fresh bananas or avocados with smaller amounts of baking powder, orange juice and solid or liquid vegetable shortening. The ingredients are blended to a creamy texture, and the cream is massaged into the skin by hand. Thereafter, the skin can be wiped with a dry paper or cloth towel, rinsed with warm water or, alternatively, the cream can be allowed to stay on the skin following the massaging. The skin cream is stored in a refrigerator between uses thereof.
A composition and body wrap comprising several herbs forms the basis for a solution, salve and an oil which is applied to the body. The body is completely wrapped and covered with a non-porous membrane to retain the body heat. The method of making the solution, salve and oil is described using nutrients such as lecithin, herbs such as kelp, parsley, chickweed, and, alfalfa, and sesame oil and water. A carrier used to keep the solution on the body is a foam or sponge material and the non-porous membrane is a thin plastic material. All of the materials are disposed of after one use.
A bath composition which is added to a user's bath water comprising hydrochloric acid, ascorbic acid, protein powder, olive oil, vitamin D.sub.2 and vitamin A is found to cleanse the skin and restore vitamins and protein thereto.
A system for moisturizing the skin and decreasing established acne is presented. The system consist of a therapeutic preparation comprised of bananas, orange juice, and coconut milk. An alternative procedure consist of the use of a conventional cleanser, toner, facial scrub, and moisturizer. These preparations provide moisturizing benefits, performs a skin sloughing treatment, and alleviates many undesirable skin conditions, including acne. The preparation is used with a facial mask which seals the therapeutic skin treatment on the skin and protects the skin from bacteria and contaminants.
An improved shaving cream is disclosed which contains an effective amount of olive oil. Preferably, the shaving cream compositions contains aloe vera and mineral oil. Other additives can also be incorporated into the shaving cream composition. The improved shaving cream reduces the amount of irritation to the skin due to shaving and soothes any irritation to the skin which may occur. The improved shaving cream, especially the improved shaving cream containing both olive oil and aloe vera, minimizes the occurrence of ingrown hairs resulting from shaving and reduces the severity of any ingrown hairs that do occur. This shaving cream is, therefore, especially useful for individuals prone to ingrown hairs and other skin problems normally associated with shaving.
