Abstract
A mailbox array is shown which includes a series of interconnected mailbox elements. Each of said series comprises a set of horizontally and vertically aligned mailboxes. Each of the mailboxes has a numeric designator thereupon. The first number of the designator refers to the row of the array in which the mailbox appears, the second number refers to the series of the array and the third number refers to the column of the array. Each of the numeric designators is translucent and selectively actuatable illuminating means are disposed behind each of the designators. The illuminating means are selectively actuated by means of a trip plate within the mailbox which is movable by the impingement of mail therewithin.

4624509 - Storage drawer - Owned by Myers Industries (Akron, OH)

An open top storage drawer having a storage compartment formed by front, back, side and bottom walls molded integrally of plastic. An undercut is formed in a lower portion of the front wall to provide a handle for slidably removing the drawer from a storage space. A pair of offset, vertically spaced U-shaped slots are formed on the front wall. The upper slot defines a window for viewing the interior of the storage compartment, and preferably supports a transparent panel to enclose the front of the drawer. A content identifying label is mounted in the lower slot in juxtaposition with a backing wall. The drawer provides both a frontal visual inspection of the drawer's contents through the window and a printed identification thereof.

4875621 - Apartment mailbox signal device

An apartment mailbox signal device to indicate the presence of outgoing mail in an apartment mailbox is comprised of a detachable mounting base having means for engaging a rotatable arm, a generally L-shaped rotatable arm for supporting a signal means, and a signal means connected to the rotatable arm indicating the presence of outgoing mail in the mailbox. The mounting base includes means for selectively securing the mounting base to an interior wall of the apartment mailbox and means for receiving or supporting the rotatable arm. The generally L-shaped rotatable arm is comprised of a vertical pivot member and a horizontal support member. The vertical member is received within the mounting base such that it may pivot about an axis parallel with the interior wall of the mailbox to which the mounting base is secured. The supporting member is connected to the signal means so that the signal means may be cause to rotate between a position generally perpendicular with the opening of the mailbox whereby the signal means is generally not visible from the opening and a position generally parallel with the opening of the mailbox whereby the signal means is visible from the opening.
