Abstract
A device is described whereby persons on diets can keep track of allowable foodstuffs for 24-hour time periods by means of an apparatus comprising a thin, color-coded sheet member having an array of apertures arranged in a plurality of mutually perpendicular rows, a multiplicity of removable pegs conveniently rounded to be rotatably secured in the holes, arrangement of said holes being indicative of foodstuffs to be allowed for each meal of the day, and said pegs being color-coded to represent foodstuffs which are essential dietary components of calculated caloric value. Thus, where a person is aware of the total number of calories he is allowed per 24-hour time period as represented by one or more pegs in a board, color-coded to show specific food groups, then it is a simple matter to utilize the device to program a balanced diet for each meal during said 24-hour time period.

4625675 - Diet management device

A diet management device which includes a housing; respective manually actuated detented slide members respectively associated with each of predetermined food groups; and a respective numerical display for each detented slide member for providing numerical indicia as a function of the position of the respective detented slide member. The diet management device further includes for predetermined daily calorie limits respective removable encoded card inserts for cooperating with the slide members to set the initial positions of the slide members. The initial positions provide for the predetermined food groups indications of the respective maximum amounts of food which can be consumed for a predetermined daily calorie intake. The respective slide members are moved to decrement the respective displayed numerical indicia pursuant to the intake of food.

3999504 - Insulin injection reminder

An insulin injection reminder having a number of grids corresponding to the general injection areas of the body such as the arms, abdomen, thighs, and so forth. Each grid has a number of indicia corresponding to the specific injection sites within each general injection area.

4148273 - Medicine management device

A device is described whereby persons required to take one or more doses of a plurality of medicines, over a span of hours and days can keep track of times said dosages should be taken, by means of an apparatus which comprises a thin sheet member having an array of apertures arranged in a multiplicity of mutually perpendicular rows, a plurality of removable color-coded pegs conveniently rounded to be rotatably secured in the holes, arrangement of said holes being indicative of the time of day on one axis and indicative of the medicine to be taken and the dosage on the second axis. Thus, where a person is required, for reasons of health, to take a variety of medicines at differing times of the day or night, then it is a simple matter to program the subject invention whereby the medicine, the dosage and the time are readily and conveniently known.

4323240 - Bowling game

A game is disclosed in which each of a group of players is provided with a color-coded scorecard. The format of each color-coded scorecard is similar to the format of a scoresheet for scoring a game of bowling. A caller is provided with a bin filled with ten tokens of each color. Each token of the same color is numbered with one of the numerals "1" to "10". The caller randomly selects tokens from the bin and calls the color and number of each token. If the color called corresponds to the color of his color-coded scorecard, the player writes the number called as the first or second ball in a frame of one game on his scorecard. Play ends when one player completes all frames of a game, whereupon all other players complete unscored and partially scored frames by marking gutter balls. Thereafter, each player totals his score for the game in accordance with the rules of bowling. The player with the highest score wins the game. The caller is also preferably provided with a tot board and pegs. The caller inserts a peg into a hole in the tot board for recording the color and number of each token called as the game is played so that players' scorecards can be verified. Other features are also disclosed.

4832603 - Teaching aid and daily food consumption planner

A unique diet control system utilizes a display panel and a plurality of movable members mounted upon the display panel. The display panel has seven food group display zones across the top of the panel and six meal display zones across the bottom. The meal display zones are each divided into three parallel columnar zones, one of which contains a list of all of the food groups, the second of which is adapted to receive a numerical designation of the number of food units of each group to be consumed during each meal, and the third of which is adapted to receive movable members indicative of choices of consumable foods and portions of food within each food group. Movable members are contained within each food group zone. Displayed on each of the movable members is a quantity and choice of food to make up one unit of food of a food group. The movable members are movable from the food group zone to the third column of the metal zone in the numbers displayed in the second column of the metal zone so as to display the choice of selected foods for each meal as well as the quantities of those choices.
