Abstract
A reducing roller device consisting of a tubular member of yieldable material having the end portions thereof supported between a pair of flat discs mounted for rotation about a shaft extending axially of the tubular member and terminating in a pair of handles at opposed ends thereof outwardly of the respective discs. A modified embodiment provides that the tubular member form a closed sealed chamber between the discs with an entrance to the chamber being provided by one of the discs so that water, sand, or other types of fluid or granular materials may be placed into the chamber in a manner to control the yieldable deformation characteristics of the tubular member when pressed against an individual's skin and caused to roll thereagainst.

4513738 - Massage unit

The massage unit is comprised of a stationary frame serving as a carrier for a motor driven drum which are journaled freely rotatable massage rollers; the unit further includes a bench or bed which is slidable transversely to the axis of the drum and is releasably connectable to the frame. The bed can be adjusted in height and has individual, body supporting flat cushions which can be shifted into different positions so that the massaging action can take place in any relative position to the bed. A hot-air blower in the stationary frame directs a stream of hot air towards the patient near the massage drum action. The massage rollers are spirally corrugated, but have an uncorrugated center.

5577995 - Spinal and soft tissue mobilizer - Owned by Walker; Grace L. (Orange, CA)

A therapeutic device to mobilize the spinal joints and soft tissues surrounding the human spine. The device includes two substantially solid spherical balls mounted on a shaft for independent rotation. In one embodiment, the balls have a spherical to elliptical configuration and comprise an inner ball portion of a variable density synthetic plastic material and with an outer covering or portion comprised of a flexible material. The balls have a confronting area forming a substantially elliptical shape extending from a major spherical ball portion. Another embodiment comprises two spherical rubber balls having an inner ball formed of hard material to assist in the mobilizing operation and an outer flexible rubber cover. In either embodiment, the balls may be mounted on the shaft via suitable sleeves disposed through the inner ball portions. The device may be used in self-treatment or may be applied by another person.

6585629 - Rolling pin with counterweighted eccentric handles - Owned by WKI Holding Company, Inc. (Reston, VA)

A rolling pin has a hollow cylindrical metal roller rotatable relative to an elongated shaft assembly extending axially through the roller, the shaft assembly having two rods respectively rotatably journaled in bushing portions of end caps on the roller, the two rods having their inner ends fitted in recesses in a weighted coupler disposed within the roller, and having outer ends offset from the rotational axis and connected to handles, each of which handles has a rounded side and a flattened side. The weight causes the handles to be disposed in an at-rest position with most of each handle disposed above the rotational axis and with the flattened sides of the handles facing downwardly.

7052450 - Silicone rolling pin - Owned by Fiesta Products LLC (Clark, NJ)

A rolling pin including a core, a silicone-containing jacket over the core defining a rolling surface. The jacket may be of such length and so positioned on the core as to define end regions of the jacket extending beyond the ends of the core; the jacket end regions being folded inward over the ends of the core; a cap securing to the core each folded inward end region of the jacket. A handle may be at each end of the core.
