An electronic wrist watch with an alarm has a buzzer provided on the outside of a watch case, a perforated cover which covers said buzzer, an excitation circuit which drives said buzzer, apparatus for operating the excitation circuit at some predetermined time, and a small-size dry cell battery for supplying the oscillating power of said buzzer. The cover is coextensive with the watch case. An adjustment for controlling the buzzer volume is provided in one embodiment.
OTHER APPLICATIONS
This Application is a continuation-in-part of my earlier application, Ser. No. 227,107 filed Feb. 17, 1972, now U.S. Pat. No. 3,760,583.
A waterproof acoustic vibrator for a timepiece and comprising a waterproof housing and a plate-like member having a magnetic portion. The plate-like member is mounted for oscillation opposite the waterproof housing and is maintained in a rest position by first magnetic biasing structure. Second magnetic biasing structure magnetically biases the plate-like member to oscillate and develop audible acoustic waves. The first magnetic biasing structure is a permanent magnet, and the second magnetic biasing structure is an electromagnet disposed within the waterproof housing.
A digital display electronic alarm wristwatch which includes a watch case, a cover glass and a case back contains an electro-optical display device, electronic watch body and an alarm buzzer mounted in the watch case and case back not to overlap with the display device in plan view. The watch case is formed with buzzer cover holes on the display side of the case for releasing the alarm buzzer sound.
A battery operated time piece including a movement casing, slip means for the minute wheel, terminal members, correction means for the minute wheel, a sounder, an adjuster to control the level of the sounder. All these elements are of simple structure which eliminates the need for troublesome assembly procedure.
A major portion of the watch case is comprised of a molded transparent integral plastic body of electrical insulating material, the top central portion of the body defining a lens for a digital read-out module within the watch and opposite side portions defining coupling ears for the wristwatch band. A metal base assembly is threadedly received in the bottom of the plastic body. The plastic body serves multiple functions including a suppot environment for the module and watchband, a lens for the read-out and an electrically insulating medium for the component terminals within the watch.
The invention concerns an acoustic alarm safety device comprising a case (2), a vibrating element (20) associated to a membrane (22) so as to make it vibrate, electrical means for providing a control signal to said vibrating element, and means (18) for actuating the electrical means. This device is characterized in that it further comprises a pierced backcover (28) attached to said case (2) and arranged so as to protect it, and so as to allow a vibration of the set of the vibrating element-membrane (20, 22), said backcover being attached to said case in a manually removable manner, and a fitted ring (26) to which is attached said membrane (22), said ring (26) and said membrane (22) being associated to the case in such a way that the set ring-membrane (26, 22) ensures the waterproofness of the case (2).
