The device for mounting and fastening at least one gong of a striking mechanism of a watch movement in which each gong (1, 14) is solidly attached to a heel (2, 15) and includes means for the positioning and temporary fastening (5, 6, 8, 9, 20) of the heel or heels and their gongs to a bottom plate (7) of the watch movement. It includes at least one crystal support (21) fastened underneath the crystal (22) of a case holding the watch movement, and means for guiding and positioning (5, 6, 11) that allow the gongs (1, 14) and their heels (2, 15) to be moved into their working position where each heel is in touch with the crystal support (21) or with another heel. It further includes means for fastening (13) gongs and their heels to the crystal support (21) in such a way that these gongs and their heels are tied to the crystal (22).
An electromagnetic sound generator has a case provided with a yoke, a magnet, a vibrating plate and a coil, and a pair of leads. An end of the coil and the other end of the leads is secured to the case so as to be connected to an outside terminal. A terminal connecting device is provided for connecting the end of the lead to the outside terminal. The terminal connecting device comprises a cylindrical case secured to the case, a connecting rod slidably mounted in the cylindrical case, and a coil spring provided in the cylindrical case to outwardly urge the connecting rod so as to be contacted with the outside terminal at an end of the rod. A top end of the cylindrical case is contacted with the end of the lead.
The piezo-electric device (9) which connects a glass (8) to a movement (3) of the timepiece (1) is arranged in such a way as to deform in flexion in response to an exciting signal applied to its electrodes. The attachment zones (9a,9b) of this device (9) to this glass (8) and respectively to this movement (3) are distinct one from the other when the timepiece (1) is looked at in a direction perpendicular to the planes of the principal faces of the device (9). Thanks to this arrangement, the sound produced by the displacement of the glass (8) when the exciting signal is applied to the electrodes of the piezo-electric device (9) is more intense than in a known timepiece.
