Abstract
A holder for supporting a container, as a trash can, above the surface of the ground. The holder has an elongated, channel-shaped member mounted on an upright support, as a post or pipe. The upright member has a plurality of vertically spaced bands along the lower portion thereof separated from the front of the upright member with generally transverse slots. A bracket having a downwardly turned flange extended through a slot is mounted on the band to provide a support for the bottom of a container. The bracket is selectively mounted on one of the bands to accommodate different size containers. The upper portion of the elongated member has an upwardly and outwardly directed lip forming a hook for receiving the grip or handle of the container. A reverse curved member is attached to the upper end of the elongated member opposite the lip for receiving the upper end of a pipe.

3990654 - Garbage can holding means

A holding device for detachably holding a garbage can to a link fence at any desired height. The garbage can is firmly held to the holding device by a wedge-like portion of the holding device which extends between a handle of the garbage can and the garbage can. A projecting member of the holding device projects through any one link of the link fence and coacts with the upper and lower parts of that link to bind the holding device thereto. Radially extending arm members of the holding device coact with the link fence to maintain the holding device in a substantially parallel position to the link fence. The garbage can is partially encircled by a portion of the holding device so as to prevent any wavering of the garbage can while it is secured to the holding device.

4322049 - Barbeque grill mounting bracket - Owned by W. C. Bradley Co. (Columbus, GA)

A gas fired barbecue grill includes a base to which are attached a pair of positioning and support brackets for the lower ring of a propane gas tank. A vertical support post for the grill body rising from the base carries a two part adjustable stabilizing bracket which engages an upper ring of the gas tank to hold it in proper fixed relationship to the support post.

6439517 - Apparatus for holding a trash receptacle

An apparatus for holding and supporting a trash receptacle includes a first collar that may be slidably coupled to a support post and may be selectively frictionally tightened thereto with a threaded screw fastener. A downwardly opening clip is attached to the first collar for capturing the upper rim of the trash receptacle. The apparatus includes a second collar which may be slidably coupled to the support post below the first collar and selectively frictionally tightened thereto. An L-shaped bracket is attached to the second collar and includes an annular configuration for supporting and engaging a lower rim of a trash receptacle.

4184659 - Receptacle support

A downwardly directed hook for engaging an upper rim portion of a garbage can is secured to an upper portion of a post or wall. A bracket for supporting the bottom of the garbage can above the ground is secured to the same support below the hook. A can support portion of the bracket slopes upwardly from its secured end to its free end. A can support(s) at the free end contacts the bottom of the garbage can at a location offset from its center away from the post or wall. The garbage can is tipped inwardly to place a portion of its rim into engagement with the hook. Then, the lower end of the can is moved inwardly until the can is substantially vertical. When it is desired to remove the can from the support, the handles of the can are grasped and the can is pulled upon to swing the lower end of the can away from the post or wall until its upper end is free of the hook. Then, the can is lifted off from the support.

4974803 - Receptacle holder

There is described a holder for mounting along a horizontal support which enables a receptacle to be connected thereto. The holder comprises a rectangular member having outwardly projecting flanges along the lateral edges thereof, the first plate member hinged to the rectangular member and a second plate member hinged to the second plate member. Additionally, there is a base plate at the bottom of the rectangular member. The first plate member projects inwardly from the rectangular member while the base plate projects outwardly thereof. The second plate member can be attached to the rectangular plate such as by means of a plurality of elongated members, each having a plurality of engageable balls formed therealong. Slots are provided in the plate member to receive the strand and balls which can be adjustably mounted along the sleeve when mounting the holder on the horizontal support. Sliders are associated with the receptacle to be engaged by the flanges so as to connect the receptacle to the holder. The receptacle rests on the base plates when the sliders have been fully engaged by the flanges. This arrangement permits for example the mounting of a garbage holder outside the railing of an ordinary veranda.
