The disclosure relates to a flying toy which permits realistic control of a toy airplane, doll or the like wherein the toy is suspended from a sleeve or bearing through which pass a pair of filaments which are fixed together on a wall or the like at one end and are hand held at their other end. By moving apart the filaments and holding the filaments at a level below that at which they are attached to the wall, the toy can be made to travel uphill along the filaments. The forward nose of the toy may weighted whereby, upon the cessation of upward movement, the nose turns around due to the weight therein for subsequent downward travel along the filaments as they are again brought together. A second feature of the disclosure is the use of plastic monofilaments which display low friction and allow operation using a sleeve, tube or wire loop and makes the use of rollers or pulleys unnecessary.
A toy having a first and a second guide line support, each guide line having two ends and a handle member respectively secured at each end. A body member for operating aerodynamically includes a frame, a sail, and spaced fasteners which are also secured to the first and to the second guide lines. In one embodiment support elements are slideably secured to the body member and to the fasteners for supporting the body in a desired orientation between the first and second guidelines. Alternatively, the support members may be included as a part of the frame of the body member.
A game to be played by two persons in competition or by one person against time, the game apparatus including a base member simulative of a boat on which is supported a vertical mast structure having a plurality of crossarms projecting outwardly at various levels, two pairs of strings which are tethered at one end to the top of the mast and each string having a hand grip at its other end, a pair of rings each surrounding one pair of the strings and having a hook secured thereto, and a plurality of game pieces each simulative of a fish and having an aperture for receiving the hook. The game pieces are removably supported in an upright position on the base member, half of them on either side of the mast, to be engaged by a corresponding hook. The object of the game, when played in competition, is to be the first player to hang one of his fish on each of the crossarms by grasping the handgrips and manipulating the strings to engage one of the fish on the hook, raising the fish by pulling the strings apart to line it up with a crossarm on the mast, and returning the hook by bringing the strings together, to engage another fish.
Disclosed herein is an improved slide toy of the type comprising a reciprocatable element which cyclically traverses a straight path defined by a pair of flexible cords passing through the slide element. More specifically, the invention herein is directed to an improved handle construction to which each of the beforementioned cords is secured and an improved line guide means disposed at opposite ends of the slide element and including spaced orifices through which the orifices are threaded.
A flying toy having a first and a second guideline support, each guideline having two ends and a handle member respectively secured at each end. A body member for operating aerodynamically may include a frame and sail, or alternatively, the frame and sail may be replaced by a one-piece or composite sail frameless structure. In an alternative embodiment, a single guideline replaces the two guidelines. Support elements are slideably secured to the body member and to the fasteners for supporting the body in a desired orientation between the first and second guidelines. Alternatively, the support elements may be included as a part of the frame of the body member or some embodiments eliminated.
A ball likely to slide along two thread lengths, characterized by an egg-shaped configuration and provided with an axial through-hole, wherein into the said through-hole there are fitted two thread sections of a suitable length, which are fastened at the ends to anchoring members, consisting of a thin strip of flexible material, carrying at one end a loop, the other end of the same thin strip having an arrow shape and being provided with a central hole to which there are connected the thread sections themselves by means of a knot.
