Packages for embossed-surfaced pats of butter, and the like, comprising pocketed trays that hold the pats in surface-protected, spaced apart, and easily dispensable relationship to each other.
A tray for stacking and dispensing golf balls, comprising (a) a base frame having a substantially rectangular central region bounded by a peripheral region, (b) a plurality of rails in the central region, and (c) a plurality of resting surfaces also in the central region. The peripheral region including two pairs of opposing and elongated sides forming a substantially rectangular boundary of the central region and that are perpendicular to each other. The rails and resting surfaces are arranged relative to each other such that neighboring rails are separated from each other by a resting surface and neighboring resting surfaces are separated from each other by a rail. Each of the rails has a convex curvature as viewed from the top side of the tray. In addition, each of the rails has an associated apex, the apexes of the plurality of the rails being in a common tangential plane with each other. Each of the resting surfaces lies outside the common tangential plane, and appears recessed with respect to the rails when the tray is viewed from the top side. The two pairs of opposing and elongated sides of the peripheral region have a concave curvature when the tray is viewed from the top side. The rails and the resting surfaces are arranged in parallel with one pair of opposing and elongated sides of the peripheral region. Each of these sides is adjacent to a resting surface.
A package (10) for packaging mechanical or electrical components (12) comprises a plurality of bases (14) and covers (16). Each base defines plural rows of component retaining slots (18a) to retain components therein, and securing edges (20a) around an outside thereof. Each cover defines a plurality of component retaining slots (24a) to retain components therein, and securing edges (25a) around an outside thereof. The bases and the covers are alternately stacked and an upper one of adjacent base and cover engages a lower one of the adjacent base and cover.
A tray (10) for receiving a plurality of fish fillets (28) in a layer for compaction and freezing in a stack of layers. The tray is formed from a sheet (18) of material having a first portion (12) joined to a second portion (14) by a flexible hinge portion (16). The first portion is formed to define a plurality of first recesses (24) and the second portion is formed to define a plurality of negative second recesses (26). A fillet is received within each of the first recesses to form a layer, the tray is folded, and an additional layer of fillets is received within the second recesses. The tray is constructed and configured to be deformed and to enable the fillets to deform within the recesses, under the force of compaction, to form separable layers of substantially separate frozen fillets.
A pan for baking a batter or dough to provide a baked good, such as muffins or cupcakes. The pan includes a raised perimeter wall that acts as a shield or baffle to provide consistent air flow over the batter or dough during baking. The resulting baked goods have improved baked properties. A preferred muffin pan is disclosed.
