Abstract
A fermented manure-based fertilizer material free from solid foreign bodies is mechanically treated, by grinding and/or crushing, with the addition of pre-dried material, to provide a homogeneous and durable pulp with a water content of about 60 - 70% by weight. This pulp is then granulated into granules, and the granules are dried firstly by hot gas at 50.degree. to partially remove superficial water. After resting to homogenize their water content, the granules are finally dried in gas at about 80.degree. to 110.degree.C to reduce their water content to about 10% by weight.

5118336 - Process for valorizing liquid manure from pigs and device for implementing such methods - Owned by Ecolise (Montpellier,FR)

The present invention relates to a method for valorizing liquid manure from pigs by elaboration of biological amendments, said method comprising the fermentation of a biomass based on a mixture of pig liquid manure and a carbonaceous medium. Said biomass is seeded by a bacterial selection comprising Serratia and Klabsiella also relates to a device for implementing such method.

4082532 - Process for making extruded cattle manure pellets - Owned by S.A.F. Societe Agricole et Fonciere S.A. (LU)

Cattle manure is mixed and batches are separately brought into the form of a coherent substantially homogeneous pulp with a moisture content between 50 and 55% by weight, by heating with exhaust gases, drying in an oven, admixing dry material, and spraying dry material with liquid manure recuperated from the waste materials. The pulp is chopped and immediately thereafter extruded to form frangible strands, sections of which are allowed to break off, without cutting, and to further break by dropping onto a conveyor. Breakage into pellets is completed, without the use of a conventional pelletizing drum involving compression of the pellets, in a vibrated fluidized bed where the pellets are superficially dried to a non-tacky state, drying being completed in further non-vibrated fluidized beds.

5653872 - Apparatus for removing water from aqueous sludge waste compositions

Process for producing free-flowing solid material from an aqueous sludge waste composition that includes mixing the sludge with previously dried solids, pelletizing the composition to form strand-like material, drying the outside layer of the strand-like material, and drying the partially dried material by contacting with heated gas.

7487601 - Process and system for drying and heat treating materials - Owned by EarthRenew, Inc. (Half Moon Bay, CA)

This invention discloses systems and methods for conversion of high moisture waste materials to dry or low moisture products for recycle or reuse. The equipment systems comprise a gas turbine generator unit (preferred heat source), a dryer vessel and a processing unit, wherein the connection between the gas turbine and the dryer vessel directs substantially all the gas turbine exhaust into the dryer vessel and substantially precludes the introduction of air into the dryer vessel and wherein the processing unit forms the dried material from the dryer vessel into granules, pellets or other desired form for the final product. Optionally, the systems and methods further provide for processing ventilation air from manufacturing facilities to reduce emissions therefrom.
