Abstract
A ready stored power cord assembly having a cord spool slidably arranged in a receptacle for movement between a position in which the spool is entirely within the receptacle and a position in which the spool is out of the receptacle. A plurality of spools, each provided with an associated power cord, may be arranged in a single receptacle. Electrical sockets connected to the cords are removably mountable in associated apertures provided in a cover which is pivotally mounted on the receptacle and functions as an electrical outlet cover plate when the cover is in a position blocking communication with the receptacle. Opening of the cover permits a spool or spools to be moved out of the receptacle and cord winding and unwinding accomplished as desired. When the spools are arranged within the receptacle they effectively function to store power cord wound on the spools, while power cords may be unwound from the spools to serve as extension cords, and the like, when the spools are positioned outside the receptacle.

5494446 - Receptacle mounted, retractable, extension cord

An extension cord device is disclosed which has an extension cord electrically connected to an electrically conductive axle assembly. The axle assembly is attached to current taps which plug into an existing electrical outlet. The device is readily mounted into and/or removed from an existing electrical outlet.

5232381 - Multi-way multiple plug

A multi-way multiple plug comprises a socket seat portion defined by a housing inside which at least a hot plate and a neutral plate are disposed. A plurality of outlet slot pairs are formed on at two opposite surfaces of the housing in association with the hot plate and the neutral plate to allow a number of external plugs to be simultaneously inserted into the outlet slot pairs from both surfaces to form electrical connections with the hot plate and the neutral plate. A plug portion which comprises a seat with at least a hot blade and a neutral blade secured thereon is mounted to the housing. Both the hot blade and the neutral blade have a snap-on type ratchet device to be firmly held by a support formed on the seat.

5129828 - Rewind trailer light connector

A rewind trailer light connector which is characterized by a rewind housing attached to either the frame, bumper or trailer hitch of a towing vehicle or the trailer tongue of a trailer and fitted with wiring having either a plug or receptacle for receiving the mating plug or receptacle of the trailer or vehicle to illuminate lights on the trailer. In a preferred embodiment the rewind trailer light connector is characterized by a split housing fitted with a central opening and a coil spring, such that the plug or receptacle can be retracted against the housing when not in use and extended from the housing for connection to the corresponding plug or receptacle component during use.

6780021 - Cable Retracting Device

A cable retracting device including a housing with an interior space bounded in part by a side wall. A spindle projects into the interior space from the side wall and rotatably supports a spindle. A number of electrically conductive rings are affixed to the side wall and are concentrically arranged around the spindle. A number of electrical leads are connected to the rings and extend outwardly from the housing. A number of electrical contacts protrude from one side of the spool. Each of the contacts slidably engages a respective one of the rings. Another number of electrical leads is wound about the spool, each of which is also connected at one end thereof to a respective one of the electrical contacts. The leads wound on the spool have another end extending from the housing that can be selectively pulled from the spool. A coiled spring connected to the spool rewinds the leads on the spool in the event that they become unwound.

6087587 - Electrical outlet box with extendable connector

There is a disclosure of a system for a wall mounted electrical duplex outlet receptacle that can be removed from the wall and includes a length of electrical extension cord integrally attached to provide electrical power to distant locations. When the duplex assembly is installed and latched to an interior box in the wall, the redundant length of the extension cord can be removed out of the interior box and wound about a spring loaded roller reel located remotely away from the box and duplex through the interior of the wall providing for the availability of a substantial length of extension cord when the duplex is to be removed. When installed in the wall, the duplex appears similar to a standard electrical duplex with a standard face plate. In addition, the invention includes structure for latching the duplex to the wall in the interior box as well as for an improved electrical connection between the roller reel and the outside electricity source that eliminates twisting of the wire as the reel rotates.
