Abstract
The draw pin safety lock device for a draw pin connection between the drawbar of a towing vehicle, such as a tractor, and the tongue of a towed implement includes a mounting member attached to the drawbar adjacent the draw pin. A keeper arm is pivotally mounted on the mounting member and is yieldably urged into engaging relation with the upper end of the draw pin to thereby yieldably resist upward movement of the draw pin. The keeper arm may be pivoted through an overcenter position to a release position to permit removal of the draw pin.

4141569 - Theft prevention device

A device for preventing the theft of a towed vehicle having a towing coupler including a coupler cavity adapted to receive a towing ball. The theft prevention device includes a post sized to be received in the coupler cavity, a frame for supporting the post and a cover hingedly attached to the frame and including a second post projecting therefrom for trapping the hitch with the cavity engaged by the towing post when the cover is in a closed position. The frame and cover include first and second locking plates which lie adjacent one another for engagement by the shackle of a padlock when the cover is in a closed position. The frame and cover further define a closure for sheltering the locking plates and the padlock to prevent tampering with the padlock or locking plates when the cover is in the closed position.

4131295 - Quick connect hitch assembly

A hitch bar pivotally attached to a clevis connection of a towed vehicle mates with a hollow hitch body resiliently mounted to a towing vehicle. The hitch bar has a pivotal support leg which maintains it at the proper elevation and which is automatically pivoted to a raised storage position when the hitch components are coupled together. As the hitch body receives the bar during the coupling process, a spring loaded latch block enters a notch in the bar to secure the hitch components together. The latch is maintained in the hitching position by a rigid locking pin.

4579364 - Releasable lock mechanism for hitch pins

The present invention relates to a releasable lock mechanism (10) for preventing accidental displacement of a hitch tow pin (24). The tow pin (24) is alternately released and locked in place by pivoting a cam lever (40) 180 degrees which action causes a spring biased member (28) horizontally supported by a support bracket (12) to slide forward over the hitch tow pin (24) and alternately backward away from the hitch tow pin (24) to enable the hitch tow pin (24) to be readily removed.

4799706 - Drawbar coupler - Owned by Deere & Company (Moline, IL)

A coupler for a pickup drawbar has a removable stud mounted to the end of the drawbar for engaging an implement hitch. A main bracket is mounted to the drawbar between the stud and the work vehicle. A top strap is pivotally mounted in the main bracket and is pivotal between a position engaging the top of the stud and a position removed therefrom to allow the implement hitch access to and from the stud. The top strap is lockable in its closed position engaging the stud and preferably also in its fully open position laying back against the drawbar. The coupler is readily modifiable for use with various implement hitches simply by replacing the stud and top strap.

7478824 - Drawbar hammer strap assembly with pin trigger - Owned by Deere & Company (Moline, IL)

A vehicle drawbar hammer strap assembly may be coupled to an implement tongue with a drawbar pin. A cross pin with a lever arm is operable to releasably hold the drawbar pin. A trigger is engagable with the tongue and the cross pin, and is pivotal from a latched position wherein it engages the cross pin and holds the cross pin in its locked position to an unlatched position wherein it is spaced apart from the cross pin. The tongue engages the trigger and pivot the trigger in an over-center manner from its latched to its unlatched position. The trigger includes a latch member attached to a wire form part which is pivotally coupled to the hammer strap. The latch member is engagable with the lever arm and with an end of the tongue.
