Printing inks for the production of auxiliary carriers for transfer printing on acid-modified textile fiber materials, characterized in that they contain at least A. as a dyestuff intermediate, a carbinol base of cationic dyestuffs, which can be sublimed at 160-240.degree. C, of the formula ##EQU1## wherein A, B and D represent an aryl or heteryl radical, B can also denote hydrogen or can, conjointly with A, form the remaining members of a heterocyclic ring system, E represents a direct bond or a >N-alkyl group, L represents a methine group which is optionally substituted by alkyl, nitrile or alkoxycarbonyl or represents a N atom and n denotes the numbers 0 or 1, B. a practically anhydrous neutral organic solvent and C. a neutral resin which is soluble in this solvent.
The invention relates to a process for printing flat-surface structures made from synthetic man-made or regenerated man-made polymer materials, for example polyester, polyacetate and preferably polyacrylonitrile fibres, by transfer printing, by means of auxiliary carriers which are printed with printing inks or printing pastes using dyes of the formula I ##STR1## wherein N IS 0 OR 1, R.sub.1 represents hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, propyl or butyl, branched or unbranched, while R.sub.1 together with the phenyl nucleus can form a 6-membered heterocyclic ring, R.sub.2 represents hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, propyl, branched or unbranched, cyanomethyl, cyanoethyl, hydroxyethyl, chloroethyl, phenyl or benzyl, substituted or unsubstituted, and R.sub.3 represents hydrogen, methyl, ethyl and nitro, or R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached form a 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic ring, in particular morpholine. Furthermore the invention relates to novel dyes of the formulae ##STR2##
A dye-donor element comprising a support having on one side thereof a dye layer comprising a dye precursor dispersed in a polymeric binder, the dye precursor having the following structure: ##STR1## and the support having on the other side thereof a slipping layer.
Printing inks for the production of auxiliary carriers for transfer printing on acid-modified textile fiber materials, characterized in that they contain at least (a) as a dyestuff intermediate, a carbinol base of cationic dyestuffs, which can be sublimed at 160.degree.-240.degree. C, of the formula ##STR1## (b) a practically anhydrous neutral organic solvent and (C) A NEUTRAL RESIN WHICH IS SOLUBLE IN THIS SOLVENT.
The present invention concerns our discovery that decorative sheets and coverings comprising polyvinyl chloride and having substantially non-migratable through-color images may be prepared using cationic dyestuffs. These coverings may be prepared by providing a variety of polyvinyl chloride-containing substrates with image compositions comprising cationic dyestuffs and a suitable binder, and then treating these materials such that the cationic dyestuffs migrate into the substrate. Through-color images are obtained which are substantially non-migrating, even under severe conditions.
