Abstract
A massage treatment device including; an electric motor and reduction gear being mounted in a casing of the body proper of the device; a gear casing disposed adjacent to the casing of the body proper; a first gear-mounting member directly coupled to an output shaft of the reduction gear, which projects within the gear casing from the casing of the body proper; a first gear fixedly mounted on the first gear-mounting member; three gear-mounting members journaled in respective bearings provided in the gear casing in parallel relation to the first gear-mounting member; other three gears fixedly mounted on the three gear-mounting members, respectively, the first gear and the other three gears being arranged in a circle in meshing relation to adjacent gears, thereby constituting a circular gear arrangement; four swivel bearings attached to the outer wall of the gear casing in the positions located on the extension lines of the center axes of respective gears; eccentric, engaging holes provided eccentrically in the gear-mounting members, respectively, with one engaging hole of one gear-mounting member angularly deviated by 90.degree. from other engaging hole of the adjacent gear-mounting members; four operating rods journaled in the swivel bearings, respectively and each having the lower end fitted in engaging relation in each eccentric, engaging hole; and cap members fitted on the top ends of respective operating rods and made of a rubbery material; the first gear being rotated by the electric motor, thereby causing a rhythmic movement of the cap members covering the top ends of respective operating rods, the rhythmic movement consisting of a given cycle of circular motions of respective cap members.

5085207 - Device for deep massage and method of using

An easily hand held and manipulable massaging device for achieving the effects of deep friction massage without tiring the operator. The unit includes a manipulator finger which is powered in a back and forth transverse motion and which is disposed between a stabilizing assembly preferably in the form of a pair of resiliently mounted fingers which contact the patient's skin in spaced points aligned with the transverse motion imparted by the manipulator finger to the patient's skin.

5183034 - Portable vibration finger pressure massager - Owned by Kabushiki Kaisha Japan Health (Sakai,JP) Kabushiki Kaisha Fuji Iryoki (Osaka,JP)

A vibrator portable massager having massaging balls which can perform relative swinging motion, and can optionally cause finger pressure massage, vibration or the like. The portable massager has a vibrator structure disposed in each massaging ball, and vibration isolation boards which can absorb noise and vibration are disposed on rotating structure which can rotate the massaging balls. A spring is disposed at the center of a thin shaft to support the massaging ball to provide a stable massage without an uncomfortable feeling.

4404965 - Skin massage device - Owned by Waits; Kym H. (Cincinnati, OH)

A hand held massage device which provides a massage pattern that approximates the desirable circular and spiral pattern of a hand facial massage. In preferred form, the device comprises a housing presenting a rotatable support table and a massage element that is mounted on the support table. The massage element is rotated by a shaft extending through the support table and offset from the rotating axis of the table. Separate drive trains for the support table and the massage element rotate the massage element for part of a cycle while the support table remains stationary, after which the support table and massage element are simultaneously rotated in opposite directions. The rotations of the massage element and the support table combine to provide a reversing circular motion followed by an increasing, then decreasing spiral massage motion, wherein a selected point on the massage element follows a first directional path comprising a circle about the axis of the massage element, then a second directional path in the opposite direction and comprising a semicircle followed by an increasing, then decreasing spiral path about the axis of the support table.

5843006 - Massaging device

A massaging device comprises a case; at least one pair of fingers having outer ends and being mounted within and extending from the case to the outer ends; a drive means; and a cam means operably connected to and driven by the drive means for actuating the pair of fingers to transversely reciprocate so that the outer ends move toward and away from one another. In the disclosed embodiments, the fingers are pivotally mounted and the cam means comprises a cam disk with at least one irregular surface.

5305738 - Massage device - Owned by Daito Electric Machine Industry Company Limited (Osaka,JP)

A massage device having kneading balls includes a vibrating device provided between each of the kneading balls and a connecting member for vibrating the ball. The connecting member is a spring, such as a coiled spring, which is elastically deformable in a direction perpendicular to its axis. The connecting member is attached to a rotary plate rotatable inside a housing, eccentrically with respect to the rotary plate and rotatable relative thereto. The housing is further provided therein with a rotation control device for preventing the connecting member from rotating about its own axis with the rotation of the rotary plate. This prevents the vibrating device on the connecting member and the kneading ball from rotating with the rotation of the rotary plate.
