A putter has a chamber extending lengthwise of its head in which there is a battery powered motor driving a fly wheel at the outer end of the head at a rate such that a gyroscopic force is provided adequate to stabilize the head against being turned by the golfer as a putt is made. The head is shown as symmetrical so that a putter may be used by either a left-handed or a right-handed golfer and the head may be weighted as desired by placing one or more weights within the chamber. The switch control of the circuit may be manually operated or of the mercury type.
Disclosed herein is a novelty golf club including a body made to resemble a golf club having a head, a shaft and a grip. In reality, the head is hollow and contains a sound producing device powered by batteries contained beneath the handle grip through wires contained within the shaft. An end cap is removably placeable over a battery chamber opening at the upper end of the handle grip. The sound producing device may be activated by a switch conveniently located on the golf head and may contain a miniature record disc having recorded therein such sounds as laughter, barking dogs, fire engine sounds, crying baby sounds, coughing, and the like.
A metal-wood golf club head having a metallic acoustic adjustment member installed on the inside surface of a sole shell part of the head main body. The acoustic adjustment member is installed so as not to be in contact with the face shell part, crown shell part and peripheral wall shell part that form the head main body.
Toys, e.g., swords, guns, shields, to be held in the hand of a user and manipulated/moved. The interior of each of the toys includes a gyroscope, which when operated creates considerable rotational momentum, tending to resist the movement of the toy by the user. This action enhances the user's fun. The toys include a molded plastic housing having a hollow interior portion and a hand-grip portion arranged to be grasped in the hand of a user to lift the toy and manipulate it in various orientations. The gyroscope is mounted within the housing, e.g., in the handle portion. An electric motor is provided for rotating the gyroscope. The motor is powered by a power supply, e.g., a battery pack, located within the housing. A manual, on-off switch is provided in the toys for enabling the electric power from the batteries to energize the motor. Plural lamps are also provided for illuminating portions of the toy when the manual, on-off switch is closed.
A golf club head having a perforated sound plate suspending inside a hollow casing thereof, the perforated sound plate being vibrated to make a sound when the golf club head strikes the ball.
A rolling head putter that comprises a standard design putter head in conjunction with an axle and rotatable roller. The axle supports the roller and provides for free rotation of the roller in a direction orthogonal to the direction of the line of sight in the direction of the putt. The roller is mounted behind the leading edge of the putter and may have a resilient outer surface, and extends below the lower surface of the putter head such that the putter head rests on and glides across the ground surface on the roller. In a preferred embodiment, the axle and roller are contained within and bounded by a cavity that penetrates the putter head, such that the overall perimeter of the putter head is of similar size and shape to generally available standard putter heads.
