Compounds are provided for the preparation of reagents, including labels which can be used in immunoassays of cocaine and cocaine metabolites. The compounds are derivatives of cocaine which are conjugated to antigenic proteins or polypeptides for the formation of antibodies for use in immunoassays. The compounds also may be conjugated to labels for use in immunoassays.

A sewing thimble having an inner barrel, a blade segment and an outer shell. The molded inner shell is semi-rigid and has a projecting lug for positioning the cutting edge of the blade segment. This invention includes an antigenic conjugate of ecgonine and a carrier which elicits anti-benzoylecgonine (cocaine metabolite) serum useful for the detection of cocaine metabolites in human organs and body fluids by immunoassay. The invention also includes the method of producing the anti-benzoylecgonine serum, the immunoassay method and composition including the anti-benzoylecgonine serum and a labeled benzoylecgonine and a non-labeled benzoylecgonine. The invention also includes a composition comprising a plurality of antigenic conjugates which elicit a multivalent anti-serum capable of complexing a plurality of antigens in a multiple immunoassay detection method. The invention includes the method of producing the multivalent anti-serum and an immunoassay method employing the multivalent anti-serum. The invention further includes a composition comprising the multivalent anti-serum and a plurality of labeled antigens and non-labeled antigens.
