Abstract
A patio pool having an outer wall fixedly mounted on ground level undisturbed earth and an inner wall fixedly mounted to undisturbed earth on the bottom of an excavation, the inner wall extending upward from the excavation to a height such that the top edge thereof is at the same level as the top edge of the outer wall thereby providing a pool whose total depth is partly a result of the excavation depth and partly due to the wall portion extending above ground level, the pool has struts fixedly secured to the inner wall for stabilizing the total wall structure, and a filler material positioned within the space between the inner and outer wall and below a plurality of deck slats connecting the top edges of the inner and outer walls for stabilizing the wall construction.

4205499 - Pool wall and deck assembly and method of assembling the same

The specification discloses a pool wall and deck assembly in which a plurality of deck support beams are secured in brackets located towards the top of molded plastic pool wall sections. Brace beams are joined to the deck support beams at a point spaced from the wall section and extend downwardly therefrom back towards the wall sections. One end of each brace beam abuts the bottom flange and the exterior surface of the wall sections and is pinned to the bottom flange thereof and to the earth there beneath.

6158062 - Pool decking system

An aboveground pool decking system that entails a platform that mounts to and over the conventional top rail of an aboveground pool, creating a smooth, level and gap-free transition from the deck to the edge of the pool. The platform includes an extension that fills the gap that is required between the top rail and deck to allow for maintenance and repairs to the pool and installation of a pool cover. With the extension, the pool deck is permitted to abut against the outer edge of the platform. The platform is configured to be securely attached to and stable on the top rail, yet easily removed to re-expose the gap between the rail and deck for repairs, maintenance and installation/removal of a pool cover. Various embodiments are possible for the platform that further promote the aesthetic and functional advantages of the invention.

6862756 - Walk-on tray for concealing a pool cover operation system - Owned by Pool Cover Specialists National, Inc. (West Jordon, UT)

A walk-on tray apparatus for concealing a pool cover operation system, is disclosed. A plurality of brackets each having a load-bearing upper portion may be attached to a sidewall of an elongate recess formed at one end of a pool, such that the load-bearing upper portions of the brackets extend in a substantially horizontal orientation. A plurality of platform sections each include a mortar veneer, a tray with an attachment plate removably disposed beneath an under side of the tray, and a nut-tightening arrangement, such that the load-bearing upper portions may be securely sandwiched between the under side of the tray and the attachment plate. The platform sections may reside in a side-by-side, sequential series. The mortar veneer may be formed directly on the tray, and the facade may be modified and customized to match the appearance of the perimeter sections of a pool deck. The veneer may be composed of mortar, resin and negligible amounts of fiberglass particles, forming an elastic composition.

6758025 - Method of forming a swimming pool construction

A swimming pool construction is of the type using metal fabricated walls and a plastics liner covering the walls and a rigid excavated pool base. The metal fabricated walls include spaced inner and outer panels defining therebetween a crawl space. The inner panels define the inner surface of the pool. The outer panels engage the surrounding soil. The panels are mounted on support members and rails supported on pairs of piles at spaced positions around the periphery of the pool. The panels are supported initially on bottom rails which are used as forms to cast a concrete layer therebetween. The panels are supported in spaced positions temporarily by a rigid arch form into which is cast a cast concrete arch allowing the rails and the arch form to be removed for re-use. The arch is cast integrally with a concrete floor which sits on supporting panels bridging the rails and resting on flat top supporting surfaces of the concrete piles. A top concrete cover is cast onto bridging panels spanning between the inner and outer walls and carried on the top of the arches.

4548005 - Structural foam swimming pool wall and brace and method of erecting same - Owned by Glonek; Robert L. (Grand Rapids, MI)

The specification discloses a pool wall assembly including first and second pool wall panels and a brace supporting the panels. Structure is included for securing the brace to only the first panel so that the first panel and brace may be aligned together prior to the securement of the second panel. Structure is also included for securing the second panel to at least one of the first panel and the brace. An anchor assembly secures the brace in position. The anchor assembly includes a stake which extends through and slidingly engages the brace and a wedge, telescopically received in the stake, which can be moved with respect to the stake into forcible engagement with the brace to maintain the brace in position. Each panel includes an integral bead extending from the lower portion of its face to define the line to which the pool side wall overlap extends. Also disclosed is a method of erecting a pool wall using the structure disclosed.
