Modifying the surface of a diazotype material by incorporating an acrylic or methacrylic polymer into the diazotype sensitizing coating composition or coating the assembly with it so as to roughen the surface of the material thereby enabling nitrogen, which is liberated when the material is exposed to light, to escape from between the master and the diazotype material to prevent nitrogen accumulating between the two and hence avoiding slippage of one relative to the other.
The invention provides compositions and methods for the oxidative coloring of human hair. The compositions of the invention contain as a primary dye intermediate a 1-(4-aminophenyl) pyrrolidine, or a cosmetically acceptable salt thereof. The compositions may also contain at least one other primary intermediate and conventional coupling compounds, in addition to an oxidizing agent and other components typically used in oxidative hair dye preparations. Preferred dye intermediates in the compositions of the invention include 1-(4-aminophenyl) pyrrolidine and 1-(4-amino-3-methylphenyl) pyrrolidine, or cosmetically acceptable salts thereof, which produce intense neutral colors when used in admixture with a suitable coupling agents, such as 3-aminophenol, in conventional hair dye base formulations.
A two-component diazotype material, composed of a support and a light-sensitive layer which is applied thereto and contains a polymeric binder, a diazonium salt, a coupler, an acid stabilizer and conventional additives, wherein the support is a biaxially oriented polyester film and the polymeric binder comprises a mixture of about 10-60 percent by weight of a polymer or copolymer of vinyl acetate, for example, a copolymer of vinyl acetate and crotonic acid, and about 40-90 percent by weight of a cellulose ester, such as cellulose acetopropionate, cellulose acetobutyrate, cellulose propionate or cellulose butyrate.
A photosensitive material of the diazonium type which comprises a support, a precoat layer thereon and a photosensitive layer of a diazonium compound is improved by using a graft copolymer on a cellulose derivative as the precoat layer. A hydrophilic epoxy compound may be used in the precoat layer and a coupler and a benzenediazonium hexafluorophosphate derivative may be used in the photosensitive layer.
