Concentrated, stable, liquid, heavy duty detergent composition containing an ethoxylate of a primary alcohol of from 14 to 22 carbon atoms and of at least 65% branched structure; an ethoxylate of a straight or branched, primary or secondary alcohol of 9 to 15 carbon atoms; a surfactant of the sulfonate type; and a liquid carrier. These compositions are especially adapted for stain and soil removal from fabrics, either by topical application to such fabrics prior to washing, or for a conventional fabric laundering.
Liquid builder-free concentrated heavy-duty detergent compositions containing a ternary surfactant system, the majority of which is represented by an anionic surfactant, are disclosed. These compositions provide superior overall performance, especially greasy and oily stain removal and storage stability.
An improved liquid detergent composition is comprised of: (a) from about 5 to 18% by weight of a mixture of alkyl polyglycol ethers; (b) from about 5 to 18% by weight of a second mixture of alkyl polyglycol ethers, the quantitative ratio of (a) to (b) being from about 2:1 to 1:2; and (c) from about 2.5 to 10% by weight of a fabric-softening quaternary ammonium salt.
A stable, non-gelling, low-foaming unbuilt aqueous liquid detergent is obtained by inclusion, in an aqueous medium, of 25-45% of a ternary nonionic detergent mixture, wherein the nonionics are high-, medium- and low-ethoxylated fatty alcohols with specific alkyl chain lengths.
An improved liquid detergent composition is comprised of: (a) from about 5 to 18% by weight of a mixture of longer chain alkyl polyglycol ethers; (b) from about 5 to 18% by weight of a second mixture of shorter chain alkyl polyglycol ethers, the quantitative ratio of component (a) to component (b) being from about 2:1 to 1:2; and (c) from about 2.5 to 10% by weight of a fabric-softening quaternary ammonium salt.
An improvement is described in all purpose liquid cleaning composition and microemulsion composition which are especially effective in the removal of oily and greasy soil and contains an anionic detergent, a nonionic surfactant or ethoxylated polyhydric alcohol type compound, a secondary alcohol cosurfactant, a hydrocarbon ingredient, and water.
