A panelboard is constructed with a line terminal array in a row midway between mechanical parallel elongated support means for the circuit breaker load ends. Disposed outboard of and extending parallel to each support means is an elongated neutral bar having a plurality of load wire grips thereon. Main lugs for energizing the line terminal array are disposed at one end thereof, and at the other end thereof a connecting bar extends between the neutral bars for an electrical interconnection therebetween.
Device for fastening built-in wiring equipment, the bottom of the wiring equipment having a fixed projection for engaging behind one L-shaped extension of an inverted hat-profile-shaped support channel, and a movable projection for snapping behind another L-shaped extension thereof, including a support plate having a device integral therewith for mounting a bus bar to hold a circuit breaker and a first L-shaped extension engageable with a projection of the wiring equipment, and a support strip attachable to the support plate and having a second L-shaped extension integral therewith, the first and second extensions forming together an inverted hat-profile-shaped support channel.
An insulating tie strap for supporting conductor bars in a load center including an insulating support member including a center body portion defining a center axis, and two end portions. Each end portion includes a mounting pad having an opening for accepting a fastener, an elevating member for elevating the center body portion above the mounting pad and an angle member for attaching the mounting pad and the elevating member to the center body portion. The openings are offset from the center axis of the center body portion, the mounting pads are attached to the elevated members, and the elevated members are attached to the angle members and the angle members are attached to the center body portion. The mounting pads are each adapted to mount to a conductor bar such as a neutral conductor bar or a ground conductor bar.
An insulated neutral bus has a base, top and conductive bus therebetween. Ribs extend from the base and frictionally engage ribs extending from the top. A recess is preferably provided in the bus so that the bus may fit behind a removable panelboard interior.
A modular molded plastic circuit breaker and power bus support carries a plurality of integrally formed circuit breaker support hooks and power bus support posts on a common thermoplastic saddle for automated assembly. Means are formed at one end of the saddle for receiving modular extension saddles to accommodate circuit breaker load centers and panel boards of varying length during the automated assembly process.
A main circuit breaker adapter is provided in modular form for attachment to a main lug load center or panelboard to convert to a main circuit breaker load center or panelboard. The main breaker is attached to a thermoplastic unitary support having means for mechanically and electrically connecting to one end of a molded plastic circuit breaker support saddle.
