The specification discloses a pool wall and deck assembly in which a plurality of deck support beams are secured in brackets located towards the top of molded plastic pool wall sections. Brace beams are joined to the deck support beams at a point spaced from the wall section and extend downwardly therefrom back towards the wall sections. One end of each brace beam abuts the bottom flange and the exterior surface of the wall sections and is pinned to the bottom flange thereof and to the earth there beneath.
The specification discloses a removable swimming pool comprising a plurality of side wall panels and deck panels, a flexible liner, and a facing member, which is connected between the deck and side wall panels, and extends around the inside marginal edge of the pool. The facing member depends from the deck panels to a point disposed normally adjacent to the water line of the pool, and overlies an upper portion of the liner to alleviate deterioration and damage thereto. A plurality of braces are provided to support the deck panels thereon and simultaneously anchor the side wall panels in the ground.
A prefabricated panel for use in assembling swimming pools of the type employing a flexible liner for containing the water. The panel has a reinforcing frame on the back with pivotally mounted deck support members which can be moved out to support a deck on the swimming pool. A plurality of panels can be joined together in a closed configuration forming the sides of the swimming pool and with the bounded area forming the bottom. The pool liner is held along its top edge by a pool liner bead holder fastened along the edge of the assembled panels. A decorative tile holder is supported about the upper edge of the swimming pool by the pool liner bead holder. The lower edge of the decorative tile holder is held against the side of the pool by a second pool liner bead which is inserted into and held by a channel along the lower edge of the decorative tile holder. The second pool liner bead depends from a flap of material on the pool liner and prevents water from moving behind the decorative tile holder. A complete swimming pool is also disclosed.
The specification discloses a removable swimming pool construction having a plurality of prefabricated side and deck panels which are supported on adjustable frame members, and are installed in a manner which imparts to the pool the appearance of a permanent pool construction. The deck panels are interconnected by rods which extend longitudinally under the deck panels through end flanges thereof, and include a tightening mechanism to align and draw the panels securely together. The deck panels include a tortuously extending water passageway therethrough which communicates with the water in the pool. A pump flows the pool water through the passageway, such that solar heat collected in the deck is transferred to the water, thereby heating the same and simultaneously cooling the deck surface. A flexible pool cover is mounted in one end of the pool, and is wound on a rotatable drum for extending and retracting the same over the surface of the water.
An above ground swimming pool rib structure including a lower plastic section, an upper plastic section, aligned tubular portions in the upper and lower sections, a wooden keying member joining the upper and lower sections, a second tubular portion in the lower section for receiving a wooden post for supporting the side of the water tank of the swimming pool, and third tubular portions with interspersed webs extending transversely to all of the foregoing tubular portions for rigidizing the rib structure, the wooden keying member receiving nails which extend through the tubular portion of the upper section for attaching fence members and a hand rail. A plastic solar deck panel for a swimming pool including a body, a plurality of elongated compartments on the body, adjacent side walls on adjacent compartments, conduits coupling the compartments in series in a serpentine orientation, water inlet and outlet conduits in the body, and spaces between the side walls of adjacent compartments to cause the compartments to give the appearance of side-by-side slats.
A wall and buttress construction for swimming pools in which deck support extensions can be secured to the top of the buttresses. The wall includes a plurality of panels having end flanges at the sides of the panels, and a double slotted peg is provided. One of the slots is shorter to receive a wedge when a peg is placed through two abutting panel end flanges, and the other slot being longer to accommodate a wedge when the peg is being used to join a brace as well as two abutting end flanges. The end flanges have elongated openings therethrough for receiving the pegs that are oriented diagonally, rather than either vertically or horizontally. The elongated openings, pegs and wedges are easily visible/accessible for inserting pegs as a result of the diagonal orientation.
