A control panel or console for an electronic device which contains a digital process control computer into which there should be fed a predetermined number of data records. At the control panel there are arranged digital display elements, the number of which is equal to the number of data records. An unambiguous correlation exists between these display elements and the data records. Additionally, a further digital display element and a device for the data input are arranged at the control panel and between which there prevails an unambiguous correlation for the purpose of displaying the last infed data record. The invention is preferably used for directing an electro-medical device or piece of equipment and generally for directing a work process controlled by the process control computer.

An improved mechanical arrangement which includes a controlled device, an operational device for adjusting an active state of the controlled device through external operations and a control device for controlling the active state of the controlled device in response to operations of the operational device. The operational device includes an indicating arrangement for indicating changes in the active state of the controlled device stepwise, an UP operating arrangement for increasing one step by one step an indication of the indicating arrangement and a DOWN operating arrangement for decreasing one step by one step the indication of the indicating arrangement, and thus the mechanical arrangement has been made free from erroneous operations due to the improved operational efficiency, simple in structure and highly reliable in actual use.

5298021 - ACLS infusion pump system

An infusion pump system provides a display to indicate to the physician the proper advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) procedures for a given protocol of ACLS heart disorder. The infusion pump is to be located by the bed side of a patient in critical care, such as in the intensive care unit of a hospital. The system monitors certain physiological characteristics as sounds an alarm if any of the measured characteristics have values outside of an acceptable range for each characteristic measured. The infusion pump system would be connected to the patient via an intravenous connection when it is determined that the ACLS procedure is to be administered. By pressing certain buttons, therapeutic agents are administered to the patient. A complete record of the heart activity, the blood pressure, and the oxygen saturation of hemoglobin of the patient, along with which drugs were administered and in what amounts, is continually printed out during the ACLS procedure.
