5295446 - Variable shelf assembly - Owned by Fritz Schafer Gesellschaft (Mit beschrankter Haftung,DE)

A variable shelf assembly includes side frames composed of posts, transverse support members and diagonal struts, and longitudinal support members and/or longitudinal stop members which connect the posts of two side frames releasably but rigidly with each other, and shelf members mounted between two side frames. The shelf members can be placed between two frames which are coupled to each other by means of several longitudinal support members and/or longitudinal stop members either in horizontal alignment or in a unilaterally inclined alignment in the transverse direction. At least at the removal side of the shelf assembly, each shelf member is provided with a longitudinal support member and/or a longitudinal stop member forming a support and abutment element. A basic shelf element is formed by two frames with corresponding longitudinal support members and/or longitudinal stop members and the shelf members.

4367818 - Forward feed merchandising device for soft drink bottles - Owned by The Mead Corporation (Atlanta, GA)

In a gravity-operated, forward feed bottle merchandiser, bottles are supported by their necks on tracks consisting of parallel track elements which are removable and reversible to accommodate bottles of different neck widths. Each track element is secured between front and rear support rails. The track elements are held against rotation in slots in the rear support rail, and must be twisted in order to be disengaged from the front support rails. Each track element comprises a web having flanges extending in opposite directions respectively from its upper and lower edges. Ramps extending forwardly from the flanges cross each other and each ramp has a projection overlying the other ramp so that the ramps reinforce each other.

6641352 - Adjustable flow track system

A flow track system comprising a plurality of flow track members, each flow track member comprised of generally parallel, spaced apart support members having a plurality of axles transversely disposed therebetween, the axles having mounted thereon a plurality of free turning rollers, the support members having an impact feed plate mounted at a first end and a discharge stop plate mounted at a second end, the feed plate and discharge plates having a sleeve formed therein for slidable, rotatable engagement with a securing bolt and having formed on each end thereof a plurality of engagement stops to selectively set the distance that the in feed plate and the discharge plate extend beyond the ends of the parallel, spaced apart support members allowing for the adjustment of fit between the pallet beams. The weight of the track locks the in feed plate and the discharge plate position.

5595310 - Display device having article guide means for encouraging stock rotation - Owned by The Mead Corporation (Dayton, OH)

A display device has an article dispenser having front and rear opposite edges and designed to support articles. The dispenser includes a plurality of parallel tracks extending from the front edge of the dispenser toward the rear edge. Each track receives a row of articles for movement along that track. The dispenser also includes a diverting pathway extending substantially transversely of the tracks. The pathway interconnects the rear ends of the tracks and receives articles for movement therealong so that articles are allowed to be transferred from the pathway to each track and vice versa. The dispenser further includes a guide member disposed adjacent to the rear end of one of the tracks. When the articles in the track associated with the guide member are moved backwards along that track, they are brought into contact one after another with the front surface of the guide member and guided laterally along the front surface into the pathway.

4938317 - Check-out counter with stopping elements - Owned by Tokyo Electric Company, Ltd. (Tokyo,JP)

A check-out counter table has a commodity receiving wall which extends leftwardly and rightwardly of a vertical type bar code reader having a reading window formed in a front wall thereof. A stopper adapted to present a high contacting resistance is provided at a location on the commodity receiving wall directly forwardly of the bar code reader on the carrying in side for a basket. When a basket is pulled toward an operator and slipped on the commodity receiving wall, it is always stopped at a fixed position by the stopper.
