A corrugated panel adapted to be nailed to a roof between the base roof structure and the roof covering material so as to provide a multitude of ventilating air passages under the roof covering and thermally isolate the roof covering from the building.
A roof ventilation baffle comprising a pleated or corrugated membrane forming a plurality of air passages. The baffle is installed between the underside of the roof sheathing and the upper surface of fiberglass insulation bats with the pleats parallel to the rafters or roof joists to provide ventilation, along the underside of the roof sheathing. The ventilation baffle is also applicable to outside walls and floors over unheated or uncooled spaces. The baffle may be perforated to provide air flow between the air passages formed by the pleats and to permit any moisture trapped in the insulation to evaporate into and be removed by the air flow through the channels.

A ventilated insulation bat having longitudinal channels formed in the top of the bat. The channels are resiliently compressible and flattenable when the bat is rolled, but the channels resume their depth when the bat is unrolled. The channels are manufactured by means for forming such as by molding or melting the channels into the bat or by affixing a flattenable perforated corrugated device to the bat. The transverse distance across the flattenable perforated corrugated device extends less than the width of the bat. The flattenable device when flattened is smaller than the bat to prevent the device from extending beyond the width of the bat when the bat is compressed and rolled into a roll for storage or transportation.
