Abstract
An accessible partition assembly is disclosed which comprises two opposed spaced-apart rows of panels, each panel having opposite vertical edges, and interior and exterior panel faces, adjacent panels meeting at joints in edge-to-edge relationship, a plurality of studs located intermediate said rows of panels, and positioned at joints between a pair of adjacent panels, panel and stud engageable means at each said joint, said engageable means comprising a first and second clip, each clip engaging a stud and one panel edge at a joint, whereby panels are demountably engaged to studs by means of a first clip engaged at one vertical edge and a second clip at the opposite vertical edge. An accessible partition assembly is also disclosed wherein alternate pairs of opposing corresponding panels are fixedly engaged and pairs of opposing corresponding panels therebetween are demountably engaged whereby fixed panels correspondingly oppose and demountable panels correspondingly oppose whereby fixed panels are engaged along both vertical edges by first clips and removable panels are engaged along both vertical edges by second clips. An accessible partition assembly wherein panels along one row are alternately fixedly engaged and demountably engaged and corresponding opposing panels along the other row are alternately demountably engaged and fixedly engaged wherein fixed panels oppose corresponding demountable panels.

4833849 - Building enclosure assemblies

There are disclosed building enclosure assemblies consisting of gypsum-based panel members, a support means and a fire-resistant spline, for the construction of fixed or demountable, full or partial, interior or exterior walls, ceilings and floorings, which can meet code-mandated fire-rating and wind-loading requirements, and in which differently sized and shaped panel members can be articulated to one another through the cooperative assembly of the panel members with the support means and spline.

4442642 - Wall assembly

A wall assembly comprised of a number of wall panels releasably coupled by clips of improved construction to spaced, vertical studs. Each wall panel has an end face and each clip has a number of tines or teeth which are forced or driven into the end face of the corresponding wall panel. The clip further has a resilient part mounted on a base part which engages the adjacent surface of a wall panel. The resilient part yields in one direction when it engages the adjacent flange of the stud as the wall panel is forced toward the stud in a horizontal direction. This permits the resilient part to pass by and thereby clear the flange of the stud, whereupon the resilient part snaps back behind the flange and thereby releasably couples the wall panel to the flange with the wall panel at the front of the flange. The resilient part is breakable from the body of the clip when the wall panel is pulled in a horizontal direction away from the stud, thereby permitting removal of the wall panel from the wall assembly. New clips are put in place on the wall panel when it is to be re-installed.

4517776 - Roof insulation retention - Owned by The Dow Chemical Company (Midland, MI)

A counter batten-rafter connecting bracket comprises a rafter engaging member to be secured to a roof rafter, a generally planar connecting member normal to the rafter engaging member, a counter batten engaging member extending parallel to the rafter engaging member and affixed to the connecting member. The rafter engaging member and counter batten engaging member each has at least one flange disposed in a plane normal to the planes of the rafter engaging member 1, counter batten engaging member and connecting member.

4476659 - Insulated roofing system with slidable roof to ceiling clips

The present invention establishes an insulation cavity by connecting rail tracks to the roofing panels, slidably engaging adjustable suspension clips within said tracks, and connecting ceiling panels to the depending end of the suspension clips. The suspension clips are slidable within these track connections to allow the relative displacement between the roof and the depending ceiling. This freedom allows flexability in the alignment of the ceiling panels in relation to the roofing panels and thereby simplifies installation procedures. Further, the deliberate thermal isolation of the connected roof and ceiling panels promotes the relative displacement therebetween due to thermal expansion and this displacement translates to potentially damaging strain within the roofing system in the absence of the freedom provided by the clip to track engagement. It is preferred that the suspension clips be adjustable with respect to the distance between the roof and the suspended ceiling in order to accomodate differing desired insulative materials and differing desired thermal resistance. The disclosure teaches connection means that are quickly and easily engagable to the underside of the roofing panels and to the top side of the ceiling panels, are installable without special tools, and do not require that any holes be passed through the shelter portion of the roofing panels.
