Abstract
The invention relates to a rotary index table comprising a stationary table housing, a table plate which is designed for reception of the workpiece and rotation by a drive means mounted on said table housing, a total of three Hirth-type serrations arranged concentrically with respect to one another, namely a first on said table housing, a second on said table plate, preferably in the same plane as said first Hirth-type serration, and adjacent said first two Hirth-type serrations a third Hirth-type serration that is substantially non-rotatable, but is designed for axial adjustment and simultaneous engagement with and disengagement from said first two Hirth-type serrations so as to lock and unlock the latter, said table plate being rotatable by said drive means when the first and the second Hirth-type serrations are in the disengaged state and securable at least in angular positions determined by the pitch of the Hirth-type serrations by a brake means.

7506563 - Indexable mount for a tool head - Owned by Asterika Limited (Limassol,CY)

A treatment head of a tool machine and a member are relatively angularly positioned by an angularly indexable mount having a first coupling having first and second elements displaceable relative to each other, each formed with a respective array of a respective predetermined number of teeth, and respectively connected to the member and the treatment head. The number of teeth of the first-coupling first element varies by more than one from the number of teeth of the first-coupling second element. A second coupling meshable with the first coupling has first and second elements engageable with the first and second elements of the first coupling, fixed relative to each other, and each formed with a respective array of a respective predetermined number of teeth. The number of teeth of the second-coupling first element varies by more than one from the number of teeth of the second-coupling second element.

4510668 - Machining center - Owned by Tsugami Corporation (JP)

A machining center of a horizontal type including a vertical base is disclosed. A pallet carrying a workpiece to be machined is mounted on a pallet slide with a pallet surface being vertical so that the pallet is movable along a first horizontal axis and rotatable about this first axis. The pallet slide is mounted on the vertical base so as to be movable vertically along a first vertical surface of this base, this surface being parallel to the first axis. A spindle supporting a tool for machining the workpiece is mounted in a spindle slide so that the spindle is rotatable about a second horizontal axis making a right angle with the first axis. The spindle slide is supported by the vertical base so as to be movable horizontally along a second vertical surface of the base, said second surface making a right angle with the first vertical surface of the base. Accordingly, a wide space is formed below the workpiece and tool supported by the pallet slide and spindle slide respectively.

5606849 - Apparatus for wrapping a package

Apparatus for tightly wrapping a package such as disposed on a pallet in a thin film such as for shipping or storage includes a rotating deck adapted to receive the pallet and package to be wrapped. The deck is directly coupled to and supported by a gear box driven by an electric motor. The apparatus further includes a film wrap supply in the form of a roll which lets out the film for wrapping around the package as the deck and package rotate. A manually adjustable tensioner allows for adjusting the stretch of the wrapping film on the package, while the film wrap supply may be adjusted vertically to permit wrapping the package over its entire vertical dimension regardless of the width of the roll of film wrap. A foot control allows an operator of the apparatus to rotate the deck and the package being wrapped while vertically moving the film wrap supply roll to fully enclose the package within the wrapping film.
