Abstract
The present invention is directed to a dependable, low cost, low pressure accumulator characterized by the provision of a bladder support subassembly secured to an end cap member by an annular weld line, the connection between the noted components being effected prior to insertion of the assembly and end cap into a cylindrical pressure vessel component, whereby the opposed surfaces in registry with the weld are exposed to ambient temperatures, eliminating the danger of damage to the bladder in the course of welding. The bladder subassembly and end cap are thereafter inserted into and weldingly connected to a pressure vessel, the open mouth portion of which is inwardly deformed to overlie the end cap and retainer portion of the bladder subassembly, dependably to secure the components together and to effect the desired seals between adjacent components. The invention is further directed to the method of forming the described vessel.

5560513 - Spill-proof drink container assembly

A spill-proof drink container is provided with an interior fluid tank having a resilient, diaphragm-like bottom closure and an interior recovery tube co-operating with the bottom closure in sealing relation, with an outer container housing the interior fluid tank and providing a completely surrounding negative pressure passageway, and with a dual-passageway withdrawal tube that cooperates with the negative pressure passageway and with the recovery tube. Negative pressures introduced into the withdrawal tube by the container user cause the diaphragm bottom closure to move downward whereby hydrostatic forces in the contained liquid flow the contained liquid into and through the recovery tube and through the dual-passageway withdrawal tube to the container user creating the negative pressures.

4413653 - Inflation anchor - Owned by Halliburton Company (Duncan, OK)

An hydraulically inflatable anchoring device for use in pipelines. A woven fabric of braided steel cable is employed as the outer cover of the device, being expanded and maintained against the inside of a pipeline by inflation of an elastomeric bladder within. The anchoring device is configured in the shape of a dumbbell, with a center section of lesser diameter than the ends, in order to facilitate movement through curved sections of pipe. The woven fabric is wrapped around the ends of the anchoring device and clamped in the interior thereof, so as to provide a greater length of fabric for frictional engagement with the wall of the pipe.
