Rocker attachments for converting a stationary folding lawn chair into a rocking chair including a spaced pair of arcuate tubular rocking elements which are transversely interconnected by beam structures which are demountably attachable to the chair. The beam structures are demountably connected to the rocker elements for storage and shipping purposes and are movable on the rocker elements to accommodate various sizes of lawn chairs.
A photographic printer for making a trimming print has a zoom lens whose focal length can be changed in accordance with a trimming magnification. Exposure time is corrected based on a reciprocity law failure correction amount corresponding to the magnification of the zoom lens, whereby a density of the photoprint is corrected as to a change in a reciprocity law failure. According to a preferred embodiment, test prints are made respectively at a plurality of magnifications of the zoom lens. The densities of the finished test print are measured to form reciprocity law failure correction data automatically in the photographic printer so that the measured densities coincide with standard densities.
An protective apparatus for the legs of a child restraint seat that is used in a vehicle is described. The protective apparatus reduces the wear or damage that could result if the legs of the child restraint seat were allowed to rest directly on the upholstery of the vehicle. The apparatus has a first base with sequentially connected C-shaped arms that form a U-shape base. The first base has a channel that is formed within the C-shaped arms and a longitudinally oriented opening that allows a portion of the legs to be placed within the channel and secured by a plurality of fastening means. There is a second base having a chamber formed by a bottom wall and three sequentially connected side walls connected to the bottom wall. There is an entrance port in the second base that allows the first base to be placed within the chamber. The side walls have an overhanging lip to secure the first base within the second base. The outside surface of the first and second base have a high coefficient of friction to reduce slippage of the bases with any surface with which they may come in contact.
A collapsible rocking chair (1), which collapses to a compact bundle, including a chair part (2) having a number of support frame members (F1-10) which are pivotally connected to connecting members (6), and a rocking part (4) including a pair of rocker members (38) and shoe members (26) which are fixed to the rocker members (38). The shoe members (26) are detachably connected to the connecting members (6) to form locking assemblies (50). The shoe member (26) include a housing (72), a receptacle (36) which receives the connecting member (6), and a retaining element (64) including at least one rotary element (66) which is rotatably mounted to the shoe member housing (72). The rotary element (66) rotates to engage a retaining slot (60) of the connecting member (6), thereby locking it in place. A second embodiment includes an alternate locking assembly (86). The shoe members (26) each include a housing (72), and a retaining element (64) including a retaining tab (98) and flanges (94), which surround a slot (96). The slot (96) is configured to accept insertion of the bottom platform (90) of the connecting member (6). The retaining tab (98) is flexibly attached to the shoe housing (72) to allow deflection as the bottom platform (90) is being inserted into the slot (96), and is biased to return to an undeflected position after insertion, thereby preventing withdrawal of the connecting member (6).
A chair structure provided which can be used by young children either as a bouncer or as a rocker. The structure is defined by a frame member having a pair of transversely spaced, generally U-configured side portions and at least one seat member raised above a support surface. The frame member is oscillatable or rockable depending upon which one of the opposite end portions thereof is engaged with the support surface. Preferably, the structure incorporates a unitary frame member and single seat cover member that is adapted to slip over either opposite end region of the frame member, whichever one of the end regions is positioned uppermost relative to a floor surface. In one orientation, straightened portions of the frame member are floor engaged causing the upper frame portions to be vertically oscillatable. In a reverse orientation, curved portions of the frame member are floor engaged causing the upper frame portions to be horizontally and reversibly tiltable.
A rocker apparatus for converting a conventional chair or crib into a rocking device is provided. The rocker apparatus includes an arcuate rocker member and a grasping assembly for coupling the arcuate rocker member to the chair legs. The grasping assembly includes a guide member and a grasping arm. The guide member is slidingly engaged on the rocker member. A spring assembly pivotally couples the grasping arm to the guide member. The grasping arm is pivotal between a leg securing position wherein the grasping assembly grasps the chair or crib and a leg release position wherein the grasping assembly releases the chair or crib.
