A ski boot having a jointed lockable leg portion includes a sole suitable for walking on ice or snow. The boot has a normalized sole attachment compatible with most ski bindings and having at least one bottom opening for the discharge of ice or snow accumulating between the foot portion of the ski boot and the normalized sole. The ski boot and normalized sole have rear interlocking elements and front pressure-releasable locking parts.

The present invention relates to a device intended to be positioned under footgear as a walking facility and/or anti-skid means, whereby the device comprises a tread means (3) which is fastenable at the front and at the back of the footgear (2) through fore and rear anchoring members (4 and 5 respectively). In order to be adapted to shoes of various size, be firmly fastened and quickly removed in a simple manner and, after use, assume such a shape that it may be put away in any small space, e.g. a trousers-pocket, the tread means (3) is zigzag-shaped, in its normal shape substantially shorter than the footgear (2) and straightenable through elongation with regard to its zigzag-shape for increasing the length thereof, whereby said tread means is fastenable to the footgear.

Snowshoes that have been designed to allow one shoe to be reversed, inverted and assembled onto the second, forming a container for storage of various items of emergency equipment. Constructed for longterm storage, such as in the trunk of a car or aboard a private plane, design includes a movable bracket to receive a field expedient handle for utilization as an emergency snow removal device.

A method and apparatus for positioning and transferring stator coil leads in a dynamoelectric stator assembling machine. The apparatus includes holding devices for positioning and retaining the stator coil leads after the coils are wound and before they are inserted into the stator core. The apparatus also includes lead pullers for transferring the leads, during insertion of the coils into the stator core, from the inserting equipment to a stator carrying pallet having lead retaining devices therein. The apparatus further includes lead catchers for capturing the leads from the stator pallet lead retaining devices and for transferring the leads from the stator pallet to a lead finishing apparatus.

There is disclosed herein an accessory removably attachable to the underside of a boot of the type which, when worn on the foot of an individual users, locks the users ankle within the boot, whereby the boot's underside is locked in a fixed position relative to the users ankle. The boot accessory includes an accessory body having a top side, an underside and an outer periphery and means for removably attaching the accessory body to the boot so that its top side confronts the boots underside, whereby to cause the user to walk on the underside of the accessory body rather than the boot. At the same time, the accessory body is constructed such that its underside will resiliently deform under the weight of a user without causing its top side to do so. In this way, the underside of the accessory body is able to flex relative to its top side and thus conform to irregular or inclined surfaces while its top side remains in a fixed position relative to the underside of the users boot and therefore the users ankle, making it more comfortable for the user to walk on irregular or inclined surfaces and safer to walk on stairs.
